http://www.safepetproducts.com/scarecrow-motion-sprinkler.html this is a link to a company selling the scarecrow.
I just entered "scarecrow sprinkler" in the search engine and came up with tons of web sites selling this, I looked at 6 sites and each one has a different price...FYI: we got ours for about $45 or so, years ago.
Whe it started to leak, DH reoaired it.
If it looks at trees that has leaves blowing it will continue to go off until you set the sensitivity to just the right amount.
Do not pay $98 for one like I just saw on E-bay !
That is ridiculous !
Shop around !
Like the flying underpants !!!

I have not heard from DH so do not know how Dad is, but the proceedure supposed to be 1 1/2 hrs, done in Oly...thanks for the well wishes !

My evil threat must have worked for you.

Sometimes all I have to do is make a plan.

I wasn't expecting it until this afternoon, but he called last night to say he was five minutes away. He apparently has something that is like a combination of ADHD, dislexsia, and autism. He can't read because letters and numbers are scrambled in his brain. It's a wonder he ever figures out where he's going.

Mine hate the rain....they also hate it when I spray them with my hose to get them out of my vegetable garden. They have stripped many of the leaves off of my Kalahrabi. brats.

LOL !
We got a device called a "Scarecrow" which we got from Yardbirds years ago, I believe they are at Home Depot but some Garden magazines have them way over priced like at $45..Ours was about $25
Anyway, screw this plastic "crow" to your garden hose, and turn on the water and set the sprinkler on it.
When the electric eye 'sees' anything it goes off and DH came in the house wet more times than I can remember.
LOL
And usually from walking right in front of it and forgetting it was on, and always squirted totally soaked right across the crotch !
This scarecrow is good for scaring cranes from your fishpond, crows and other birds from your garden or garbage...cats from the area for sure, and most dogs !
Some dogs love the water and want to play with it ! LOL
I am trapped here today while my Dad has a ultrasound proceedure to destroy a huge kidney stone the size of a large walnut that apparently he has been growing for decades.
It is too big to pass (thank god !) But has been giving him horrible back aches to the point of seeing several chiroprators and doctors and getting lots of X rays.
No one noticed until a new doc gave him a CT scan and it went high enough up to see the big stone.
And shortly thereafter he had alot of blood in the urine...bingo !
Hopefully the kidney is OK! The stone is abrasive and has rubbed a long time.
My DH is there to care and drive Dad, I am here with all our critters.
Hope he is OK !!!!!!!!!!!!

It's amazing what modern medicine can do. I'm sure your Dad will be okay.

He told me that. He carried one of those little cards like the deaf sometimes carry. It's a wonder he can do anything, but he's trying.

It's an a-frame tractor with the run on the bottom. I've got wood shavings, waterer, feeder, feed, grit, cracked corn. I'm going to get the babies from my son as soon as I get the shavings etc. into the coop. It was dark and raining when it arrived last night. My son is a college student. He's unlikely to be up before noon since he's finished with classes. It's very eggciting.

We shall see how well they hatch thanks to the Post Office!

And why won't the post office take responsibility for THEIR actions? makes me wonder, why should I have to pay more money for them to do what they should already be doing?

YAYAYAYAY!!! so here are the recent pics of my new babies!
