I'll need to get her and momma in a private nest soon, though, so they'll be ok and without any interference from the rest of the flock. That baby is going to get hungry/thirst and want to explore soon
yes they need to be seperated or the others will steal her food, treats, etc and maybe harm the baby again !
I put them in my big 50 gallon rubbermaid tub last night with metal racks over top for covering. She took right to it and seems grateful to have it... more room to move around and the food/water is closeby.
The baby looks like it might be from my australorp. It's mostly black, but with white on the chest. I can't think of anyone else in my flock who would have a baby of that description. I can't tell anymore whose eggs are whose.
