yes they need to be seperated or the others will steal her food, treats, etc and maybe harm the baby again !

I put them in my big 50 gallon rubbermaid tub last night with metal racks over top for covering. She took right to it and seems grateful to have it... more room to move around and the food/water is closeby.

The baby looks like it might be from my australorp. It's mostly black, but with white on the chest. I can't think of anyone else in my flock who would have a baby of that description. I can't tell anymore whose eggs are whose.

I guess its like anything else. Everyone has their own thoughts and idea's on things. I read in one of my chicken books to check their poop for worms. that you could see them. I know I could see them in my dogs and cat poop.


Anybody else have any thoughts on this ????????????????????

This pair are from eggs I got from Okiehen/Sharon, and they are Bill Braden lines which I'm really pleased with. The coloring is much more a deep red mahagony.
I also have one hen from Lowell Barber lines, which is much more gold in color.

He looks like a nice bird but no--I have no plans to go to the fair and with all of my husband's surgeries coming up, I am not sure how much "extra" time I'll have to devote to another project right now...if by chance, you still have him and things are quieted down, sure! He is a very pretty bird!

He has been wormed once with Pyrental stuff, (I always used strongid) anyway on his last visit my vet asked me to collect a poo sample in a little tube she gave me so she could look see if he had any OVA of any worms.
The OVA (eggs) of these mature worms are so small you need a microscope to see them.
The adults live way upstream and in various organs, and rarely "fall" out and then it is a really bad infestation when that happens !
It is cheaper to worm on a regular basis, dogs, cats. goats, sheep and all of them !
It is also cheaper to worm than to do a poo sample to see if you have worms !

So I worm mine every other month or what is recommended by the medication.

I hope so because the puppies thieved the extra tube of Ivermectin and chewed on it, and about half of the tube is missing. The puppies are still trying to steal anything they think belongs to me.

It's like having toddlers around.
