I am here in Enumclaw, and I need to go to Bonney Lake tomorrow. So I could pick it up if you want.

Not looking for a sportsman (I have an older one I updated and I ***LOVE*** it),.. but if anyone has or knows of someone who has a redwood incubator (preferably humidaire but I am flexible) that they need to part with I want to have one by next Spring but can get it anytime between now and then. I don't care if it is working or not, I can fix it.

Alass! Miss Jessica went home this morning. Jessica is a Rhode Island red. She is a only chicken. They had three but Jessica is the sole survivor. She may be jumping the fence looking for company. I noted that she is quite plump and has a good weight. She would make a really good dinner.

I am very sure she would make dinner for 6.

I am sure that it would seriously traumatize a young girl if that happened.

Oh OH OH!!!! LORRAINE!!! You have to post pictures of the blue silkie cockerel. I am *dying* to see how he turned out. He was such a nice looking boy. You're going to have to come to the fall shows and pick up a black or blue loverly lady for him, and start showing...

I am building five more indoor pens for the silkies. I've been hatching some nice bearded and non-bearded lavenders, and I'm finally getting some partridge with the depth of color I like.

That is so funny, she will probably come back everyday as you have better 'vittles' and socializing.
Bet ya she will ! They are flock birds. They need each other. She will not be happy alone, that is why she came to you in the first place, poor baby all alone, how sad !!!

She does have an adoring child that spends a lot of time with her. I did offer the father a chicken to go with her, but he didn't take me up on it. I would have given him one for free just so that she had company. The father may bring his little girl back so that she can see my Silkies. Silkies really grab peoples attention. As tame as Jessica is she would be welcome to join my girls anytime.

We live on the Columbia River, at the junction of two cities - but on the outskirts of both. I can't wait to get back to the sticks

! 24 months and counting until we can shake the dust of the city off our shoes and muck them up with farmyard YUK; LOL.

Last night I sketched an outlay of our future farmyard. As soon as we find the perfect place and set up house, I want to add another dozen chickens (cut my three roosters down to one), one or two black-faced lambs, a steer, 4 ducks and 2 geese ... that should keep us busy for awhile
