Somebody on another forum a few months ago said the he/she sold a lot of balut to the local asian community. To the best of my recollection it was not in Washington.

Thank you so much for that! I actually sat down with her and we talked about why when mommy says something it is not meant to be mean or controlling it is just becauese i am older and have learned things she hasnt yet. I actually told her it was not her i was mad at but myself because I was the one that made the decision to let her hold the egg when I knew what the outcome would be.one of those parental moments when you think you are losing it but it becomes a learning experience for both parent and child.....


and my dd says fromnow on i can carry the eggs lol

I am so happy that this worked for both of you.
It is hard to remember being 4. But sit back and think about it, and I can remember thinking about a lot of things at that age. The most memorable ones were when things didn't work the way I thought they would or should of. I have met an awful lot of adults that either, don't think that the kid knows anything, or that the kid is doing it out of spite. At 4 all we want it to make mom and dad happy, and we are taking our clues from mom and dad. And this is a cheap lesson that will be a great story for a long time..........

ON the Balut bit,.. I will feed unhatched chicks (dead in shell) to neighbor's pigs. They love it, and I feel like they aren't going to waste. I, however, could never eat them. I have no problem with those that do, but I would rather eat fried crickets or ants in a dish than balut.

The good news is you have recognized it early.

Greg, butcher shops add red dye to beef also.

One of the scariest things to hit the human race right now is not salt, but the use of plastic cookware usually in the microwave and this plastic gives off into the food on a molecular level...and it mimics estrogen, and can be responsible for alot of males with small reprodictive organs and large brests.
It was all written up in Mother not too long ago and I warned my son...who is warming up the plastic baby bottle in the microwave...to stop it or your son will be pelted with estrogen all his juvenile life and grow up with extra small male organs and put on fat in places like women do.

I is soooo scarey.
I do not even like drinking soda or water from plastic, as when it is packaged in a factory, it is HOT...as to be sterile, and sits in there in a soup of psuedo-estrogen just waiting to be drank.
