have not touched the painting since last photo until this afternoon I worked on it for about 3 hours.
It is really cool to get all the photos in a row and look at how it 'morpths' into what it will be.
And another eye-scalding photo for your veiwing pleasure: Are these Nasties awesome or what ?
I have never had any with this pattern before, gotta save seed !!!!!

I was feeling mean about the roo. The rest of my story was that my sister sent her hand raised, and well loved Cuckoo Marans roo to my house during the holidays. He was crowing up a storm, and my plan was to send him to auction. Well the only two weeks in a year that the auction is closed is Christmas ans New Years, and as Christmas was not quite past he just couldn't continue to live here, even in the garage. So DH and I looked at each other and went out and did the deed. I felt kind of bad that he was my sisters favorite roo, but when she asked about him, I just ask her whether or not she really wanted to know. She didn't ask again for a long time. I finally confirmed that we had indeed enjoyed him a lot and that I have a great recipe.

That is very interesting about curry. I don't like the bread and butter pickle though. I am a dill girl through and through. I would really like to try the rabbit with curry. None of us could bring ourselves to eat the big bunny that only live here a day this summer. I found a friend that wanted him, so he didn't go to waste.

Chickie I love the paintings. It was cool to see the progress. I can't even draw a straight line.

The nasties are way cool. If you get more seeds than you can use let me know. I would love some like that.

So I buy a doz CM eggs , hatched them, got 4 chicks, and guess what ?????
3 are roos, 1 is a hen

And I still wanted THAT roo you ate in December !!!!!

You need Californias, not NZ's.
NZ's are too small.
My mature CA buns run in the 20 pound range.
I feed them well, fresh veg and grasses, from the garden.
One is too much for us, and tender even on the barbie.
I still have 2 bucks looking for a home, free if you want, next trip to Monroe is the 28th...I think, with Monicas and 4HPoultryMom's lavender orp babies that get to do a sleepover here at my house !!!!! Yippee!!!!!

Been traveling a LOT! Just got back from Oregon this am.....3 am to be exact!!!

And I saw! just can't use my phone to comment anymore, dang thing hates me! lol
And CONGRATULATIONS on getting the eggs!

I have one more quail hatch out to go and then I am done til December? Funny thing is, I was going to sell my bators but DB said not to!!!! He thinks they are cool, he just doesn't like the brooders in the house.... can't say I blame him, they do smell at times lol.
