Here in Kansas that would be the Planning & Zoning. Here we need a permit to put up a fence or to put a sign for your business.

I do have The Omak-Okanogan County Chronicle facebook page liked.
I have been looking at land in Pend Oreille, Stevens, Ferry and Okanogan County. I am concerned about population, population growth and taxes. The county I live in now have has a population of around 18,000 for the last 110 years and our taxes are very high.
About the season here in Kansas. I dont like spring because the threat of tornados, I dont like summer due to the high humidity, I dont like fall once my allergies kick in, I love winter just wish for more snow.
I do enjoy the different seasons, and could tolerate allergies if the area was pretty.
I get funny looks from people around here when I tell them Id rather be in an earthquake then a tornado.
We are looking for 20 to 40 acres without a house, trees and pasture, stream and spring on the south (sunny) side of a hill mountain. We homeschool and I am a Web Admin so we would like broadband. One of the things my wife and I realized is we use to be materialistic and now we are not. We have given are selves a couple of years to sell a lot of those material things and acquire the things we need to be more self sufficient. Also use those 2 years to learn the skills to live self sufficient life while I have a good job.
