I've heard of a couple mean ones. . . And I mean a "couple." The meanest I ever had was just towards others. To me, he was VERY shy and skittish. He was also unattractive. . . And got sold to someone who wanted dinner.

I do love Hades a little more, but his comb is nowhere near as good as Poseidon. Also I think he needs a more upright build.

I live just outside of Maple Falls, Washington:)

Hello to all my fellow Washingtonians. If there is anyone nearby, I'm looking to trade, swap, barter, and or buy chicks, pullets, roosters, or hens. I also need more waterers, feeders, lights, and a few tips on how to get ready my coop for winter.

We are new members, and our story with a few photos can be found on this thread, to avoid reposting.

Take a look at the meet-up threads, there are people planning on meeting 10/2/10 (this saturday) for a swap meet in Cle Elum(?). We were going to go but have nothing to trade and it's a drive for us to get there...

Welcome new members!

That isn't a pine cone. It is a pile of Yak poo. . . .

Jean - LOVE the white cock! Congrats!

Of course it's yak poo! How could I have not recognized that?

I can offer the need for chickens, though I'm pretty far away to offer extra supplies. As for a coop for winter - The big thing is make SURE it is rain proof.

Other than that, make sure it is predator proof, especially from raccoons.

I was thinking about going just to meet people, but my sister has a hat show that day.
