Of the carbon fiber panel:
We built the roof with OSB decking on each side and abit smaller hole in the middle, cut the fiber panel to length..so it was bigger than the hole, enough to over lap the hole by a inch or so on either side and top, the bottom flush with the edge of OSB.
Then put on rolled roofing, and glued the edge around the hole with Henry's asphalt adhesive caulk.
a bead down both sides of the hole and top, and nail down the roofing, and caulk nail heads to prevent rust.
Galvanized roofing tacks..and then cut the panel, to fit( bigger than the hole on top and sides) put a big bead of asphalt adhesive caulk down both sides and top of the hole, and press panel on, then he screwed it down with roofing screws to further secure the panel.
The top must be under an overhang or covered by roofing material or water will eventually run underneath, and if you get this stuff, DH uses a skill saw to cut, and then seal the edges with 100% silicone caulk to plug up the tunnels or they will grow the greenest algae! and not protect as well from the cold.
Back to work~
