Even the big dumb Emus are looking good now...I put up ads for the birds and so far am getting all kinds of requests, Dad never advertised on line, he ran an ad in the tiny want ads down there is all...lots of people are asking for eggs as the birds require a horse trailer to move them...put one of those in your Honda !!!!!!!!

There is a dial on the side that rolls the inner wire rack, and thus the eggs roll...has auto water adder...looks cool, and kids would love this kind of bator.

Yeah, no kidding. People don't realize how big they are....we have a 3/4 ton HD truck and a horse trailer...which is an extra tall/extra wide model...I'm sure I could fit a flock of emus in there...the problem is my DH...for some reason he says we don't "need" emus??

I know...I have mixed feelings about the snow. It's sure beautiful at first...but it soon gets dirty/brown/slushy and a big annoyance! Not to mention I wake up all night long and peek out my bedroom window to make sure the coop lights are still on! LOL We have our wood stove going every day when possible and try to keep it going overnight, too...

I may enter my Silver Cuckoo Cockeral...Silver Cuckoo just won top bird at the Ohio National (see Marans thread) boy I think that po'd some folks off, especially since they were English...

Emus require a pasture, and I do not know how well they would do in your cold, they are bald headed...and they graze...hmm, really you could sell eggs like hot cakes, but you would have to stable them all winter, I think, and that is alot of grain and some big long doo doo

That looks just like the incubator that one of my teachers used back in the 80's. lol Worked like a charm every time she used it too! Those big ones look nice! Bet your gonna have fun filling those up!

Theres a topsoil place near me called Emu topsoil, and his Emu's are kept in paddocks with a run-in shelter year round. BUT where I am at, we only get down to maby 16degrees for a week or two at the most.

Okay I want an Emu or two. So do you think that the neighbors would notice? I also wonder if the Emus would get along with the Yorkies? I am fairly sure that I can sneak it past DH. I have often found that it is easier to ask for forgiveness, than for permission.
