Rare Feathers: We got some rain, but I did not hear any wind last night, and by the looks of my ginormous willow tree in the backyard...we did not get any wind either. I was in Wenatchee today and you could see along the road different areas where there was some washout from rain. Coming down Duck Lake Rd, the hill had quite a bit of washout from the rain. .... I slept right through it.
Earthquake...wow...maybe that is what knocked down all the containers down at Port of Seattle. Did you see the photo? I saw it while we were in the Verizon store and DH was getting work done about his phone. Salesman was showing me an Ipad and was showing me that article...all the containers got knocked down like dominoes. Who was wanting a container? Might be able to get a good deal on one of those...
Sounds like most everyone had some crazy weather. I am glad (or so it sounds) that all favored okay through it.
Oh, btw, dh keeps saying it would be nice to "put a face" to the person when I refer or quote.."chickielady".
I think it was the wind that knocked over the containers. Rainwolf needed one or two of them.
There is a thread on BYC for pictures of members faces. It is a sticky at the top of the Family Life - Stories, Pictures & Updates section.
It is insane, to me, how the wind could knock down stacked containers. That is just crazy.
Looking at the photo, can you imagine how much stuff (inside them) there is and is ruined and was probably being delivered for Christmas sales.
Thank you for the info on where to look....I will go and see if I can find Chickielady.
Oh, I don't know you, but you seem like a wonderful person. I probably have a few brain injuries from doing stupid things as a child. But I just recently found out that I have lower vertebrae are crushed and I was told (by a chiropractor) to never let any other chiropractor try to adjust my lower back as it could cause permanent injury. I think I know of when and what I did for that one, though. Jumping off the hillside into a pile of dirt...landed on a rock. Never told a parent, but sure hurt for a long time.
