I missplaced the pumpkin flock block but I PM'd the author Chickie'sMoma and asked her to climb on board the WA thread and post her recipe with her directions.
Flock blocks last a long time, and have so much little seedy things the birds love to peck at, keeps them occupied while in lockdown situations...instead of getting grumpy and pecking each other.
The harder the better, it lasts longer.
I have seen ones with peanut butter and molasses and lard (suet) and almost bought some at the feed store made by Purina Sunfresh but sooo expensive...when western family peanut butter is on sale, usually a $1 a jar, I buy gobs for this very reason.
Gotta go to work~

Terrie do your ducks eat the oatmeal or just chickens ?

They do if they feel like it. Mostly they take a huge bite and fling it around, they take another bite as if it will suddenly taste like slugs and fling it some more. Then embarrass me in front of the neighbors by walking around with frozen cereal on their bills.
They simply have no manners.

Maybe if it was more liquid they would dabble in it ?

So funny...

Yes I have sent Chickie'sMoma a PM asking her to please visit and post her recipe...I do not know if the canned pumpkin has the same effect as the pumpkin seeds and I have not made her recipe yet, deleted by accident

Hopefully she posts it for us...and I hope it is hard or will add alot of scratch until it is hard, maybe molasses to get it to stick together ?, will see what she says...

And lastly the very happy stinky pup dog that has turned into a room oderizer so happy to be inside due to the cold outside, Jack !
What a nut !
he is a thief!
He runs by and steals something and is GONE!!!
Today he has stolen a carpenter's pencil, a work glove, and a car wash sponge

I am sure we will find these items sometime in the spring....

He's sure cute, although he looks like a dorky pup! LOL How big is he?

Pushing about 80+ I think...he is very smart, half pyranees and half Austrailian shep...my version of your Cash.
Jack needs a buddy to wrestle and play with...that is why I asked you about Cash Puppies...
Jack is now about 8 1/2 months...still dorky, but has all the right ideas and is gentle with the birds and turning into a great watch dog.
