OH NO! I'm sorry...don't give up on the eggs, though...I had some go down to 70 degrees for a few hours...got one out of 7 to hatch.

Sorry. Already did. The temp was reading 50 degrees, and they've been that cold for 10 hours. . . Pretty sure I have nothing no, so I pulled the plug. I'm gonna be sooo upset when I start culling these eggs and find out how many were fertile. Yep, I didn't even get a chance to see how many in my second batch were fertile. . . And I had a full batch. . .

And I always wondered for years and years just exactly what does the Jolly Green Giant do in his 'off' season (winter) when he is not out growing green beans ???
And now we know...he drives a snow plow

Different Kidlit. Jolly Green Giants are IT guys in charge of the Dutch language porthole of a major Seattle based online game company. But I am sure that the costume would fit the other kid. I heard the The Boy come home. I think he wanted to talk about his night plowing the Ledge, and the Free Fall Freeway, but the Mom was sleeping, and it's always better to let sleeping Moms sleep.

PS I have spare kitties if you need one or two.

What kind of kittens ?

Your trees should be fine next spring. Most of the fruit trees should handle this weather. Also because the branches are still long, they will have room to be trimmed up come February.

They are kinda thawed now...and transparent as they froze solid with the sap still running.
I do not think they will survive, it was 18 at a low here last night, for a living tree to be put into an 18 degree freezer it probably killed them.

Ugh! Awful.

DH took 2hr 45min to get home from downtown on the lovely bus system yesterday. He said they were literally crawling on the freeway! Fortunately my drive from Edmonds wasn't bad but they closed clinic today so I've been bundled up inside today.
