Ogres,

I charge $4 per dozen chicken and $5 for a dozen duck eggs. I give $0.50 discount for bringing back a clean crate, $1.00 if you bring back a clean crate from my farm which does really great to inspire customer loyalty.

Golly you guys charge a lot. I charge $3, because our stores charge $4-5 for "cage free" crap, so I want to set a nice example. . . Mine are free range and treated VERY well, but I'm not charging extra for that. Plus, most of my customers have to drive over 15 miles just to pick em up anyway.

Ok really we are way down here in the Styx and we sell our eggs for $2.00 per dozen. Now I know there are alot of people selling for more but I am not in that market area. Also I sell eggs to help cover the cost of keeping the chickens. We use a lot of eggs and sell the rest. In the last 6 months I think I have had to add $4.00 to the egg money to pay for feed.
Also if you are not set on total organic feed but want a good clean feed. Talk to Rainwolf about the feed that my local (no longer) top secret supplier has started delivering up that way. His top of the line 20% is $11.50 per 50#.

Speaking of Scott I just talked to him tonight and he MIGHT be at the show in Chehalis this weekend. He said it depends on if they have space and what the cost would be. He is suppoda let me know and I will post for anybody that is interested.

You need to get in on our feed orders.. it is not cert organic but pretty darn close as the grains are never sprayed and the field before planting is only sprayed if needed.

if you'd be willing to come to Northgate area(north seattle) to pickup feed I will be ordering feed again at the beginning of January.

There is a added delivery fee per bag/bale but very reasonable!

If you want to stay cert organic and are paying 30 a bag I'd be charging $4 or $5 a dozen just to help your cost.

But is it GMO?

That honestly is the biggest importance to me. . . I'd like my chickens to eat healthy, not eat stuff that can absorb round-up and carry the genes of a completely different life form.

Plus, heirloom corn is SO awesome and colorful. . .

It is awfully windy out, and the power keeps flickering. . . . I just hope that if it goes out, it does when I'm already in bed and asleep. . .

Well I could be wrong (and feel free to correct me) but to my knowledge BBR is Black Breasted Red. At least that is what I was told about my OEGB's.

Oh right. . . Would be more helpful if I also actually said what the acronym meant.

Illia I know it is tough cause some of ya have a lot more knowledge and experience than others of us and I often find myself wondering what does that mean.
And while I am speaking to the breeding GODDESS what would I have if I hatched eggs from an EE mated to a Buff Bramha Bantam roo.
