I thought the plan was for me to bring Weava's feed to the show. Come on I need a little bit of a reason to go. If ya woulda got with it sooner I coulda brought yers to the show as well.
BTW It is too late we already have the disease here. we usually have a couple every year on our place. I have also been told that it is SUPPOSEDLY related to the animal having worms and that if they could be wormed it would clear up.
I am gonna meet you two at the show...or in the parking lot ?
Or on the side of the freeway ?
But I have to call Scott and see when I can get mine, or if he will be there, to bring mine with him maybe...and I can't find his ### !!!
I am also getting worried about Rainwolf, it is not like her to not check in and brag about her new babies...
Just a note:
I have never seen a chicken get beat up like that (on the head) lucky they did not go for her eyes !
Usually a bird hides from getting pecked and the offenders peck open the victim's rear end or back !
Your pullet just let them peck her head !
That is so strange !
Well, off to crack more nuts so I can make Imp's dessert tomorrow..Good night all !
Rare Feathers - I'm sorry about your poor birdie. I have a Button quail male that has been scalped twice now by the other boy's and he now has a full head of feathers... a bit strange looking (like scars in the feather directions) but perfectly healthy now and happy. So just keep clean and don't fuss it to much and it should heal up. maybe some biodegradable gauze? to help until skin grows back?
Chickie! I'm here busy trying to keep all my babies hatching!
So far 1 BBS maran healthy and happy, 1 buff Orp x White Leghorn, and about 30 Coturnix Quails!
And still hatching!
I had a problem with low humidity and have been fussing with the bator bring it back up. I lost a few quails to "shrink wrapping"
I can't wait till my wine bator egg racks and turner are finished.
The BBS maran looks like a yellow/white with a blue/gray tint! Would that be a splash then?
With little feathered feet!

Ohh sure hope you get your car stuff taken care of smoothly .. That is frustrating :-/ unbelievable that people would be so slimy as to do something like that during all the nasty weather..
I will have my 3 younger seramas there .. They are all mottled
The white cochins and some of my ducks will be there too.
Should I pm you my phone number? Or did I already give it to you? Lol! I don't remember!
Hang in there and hopefully things work out so you can make it

Rare feathers - I hope that the hen is feeling better and does well through the night. And I agree with Ogress, it is time for a nice glass of wine and some chocolate.
I agree! Heather I hope your hen will be ok! Keep us updated ...
Coturnix Quail: (just hatched, started splay so tied up with band-aid)
The Quail pen (old guinea pig cage)
Update on my pair of Serama's
The 2 BLRW (Blue Laced Red Wyandottes) have been moved outside to the big brooder.
The Black Monsters have been moved to the adult pen and now I have to go count birds and find the silly ones that don't seem to understand the coop is the place to sleep....
2 are roosters..... gonna have to find a home for them soon. they are pretty birdies in the ugly teen shag do.
And my 2 white wyandottes and 2 EE's are getting jumped by the buff orp roo so I'm hoping for eggs soon!
