Do you have other Seramas? Parents? Siblings? I can't remember if that's all you have so far or not.

Thats all I have at this time...
17 eggs shipped, 2 died in egg 2 hatched the rest were either infertile or scrambled.

psst. someone snatch illa's roo and come to leavenworth.... i wouldn't actually get to meet anyone till after the 17 of Dec. thats when i get to escape from pullman......
i think it stopped snowing here (it did all day)
now i think its frozen rain. the plows are going crazy. too bad i live on campus and can walk to class.....
sometimes there are drawbacks to living on the eastside, but so far this is only the second drawback, the first is that bellevue square is on the west side....

I'll keep him through the sumer at least to try and get some more eggs to hatch. but I don't know much about color genetics.. if the motled is a female what would the pair throw?

The inner membrane drys out and makes it impossible for the chick to break free or even move to breath. it literally "shrink wraps" the chick inside the egg

If I remember correctly there is nt a color standard for seramas is there? Id like to see a full grown adult live to see how big they really are.

Its happens when the humidity is way to low.
My humidity stays at 30-40% naturally with no water so for me normal hatching is dry until lockdown then water in the bator.
BUT with the wind and cold my bator had a little trouble keeping warm so lockdown was a bit longer then normal and I did not check the humidity till after it got really low.
I spent most of the day with a spray bottle of hot water... misting bator watching humidity meter.. spike then drop.. mist.. spike.. drop.. I finally got it leveled out at the 70%
