I know, the horses are dumber that the chickens. They have not been in their shelters so far this fall except when I occasionally feed them in there. They want to be out in the weather for some reason. At least they have water proof blankets.

I have heard that Muscovy is the least oily.

They also grow VERY quikly!!! My drake by three months of age weighed in at over 12 pounds. He was a monsterous bird, So big in fact that he took down my husbands 150lb goat... Poor Butters "the goat" wound up with 5 stitches from that scuffle...

Oh yeah deffinately need waterproof blankets around here! We have multiple back up blankets. My new baby Prada is doing great! She is settleing in just fine. I find it hilarious that the chickens are smarter than the horses!

My little girl "DD" passed out with her head on my lap, and I just noticed. She has had a LONG morning, she has never heard thunder before. Poor little dear was afraid, and wound up in my bed at 6:45. Oh hay lightbulb just came on! It was more than likely Chloe that woke me up this AM. lol

Yes. I wish I could have fit more geese in my car, but since I brought the ducks and had also brought along a standard cochin pullet for Sheryl, I was short on space. He's a Dewlap Toulouse, is about a year and a half old. I find them to be the gentlest geese so far, although any gander can be difficult during breeding season. I prefer them over any other waterfowl.

Jen,.. can we make it any more confusing? I think there was another jen/jenni/jennifer there as well. We might have to start going by last names.

How much does that goose way, anyway?

Oh, and I'm the 3rd Jen LOL

Their eggs can be a lavender to a really light green, with olive-avacadoe in the middle.
I have one here that lays a pinkish-orange egg, so I did not sell her.
She would be a regect as far as being an OE !
These are pea comb birds.
BCM X Blue Ameraucana.
