Interesting
read for all of us, for all of us, dogs, cats, sick critters, and humans.
I believe it was Greg a few weeks ago posted an article about DE...I have ALOT of it and use it in the bird's dust baths, and in their feed, also in my rabbits feed.
I am starting myself and Jack (pup dog) on it tomorrow A.M.
Funny to find out that "Carpet Fresh" for pets to help eliminate flease in carpets (or any crawlies ) is DE with a little parfumey stuff in it.
The baking soda does nothing to eliminate smell or bugs, not that tiny amount you sprinkle on your carpets anyway.

Oh yeah your kids will do much better, your marriage may be better too, less "weightiness" with stress from talk shows and pressure from commercials.
We need more time with each other, such as board games, or jig saw puzzles or card games.
Then you can always rent from Netflix or the grocery store to have "Movir Night" with treats and pop corn,,,Netflix has lots of documentaries and other "learning " shows.
And why do you not go fishing here ?

Some are metal, some paper mache, some wood, theres one thats resin based, a couple are porcelain. There were so many there that I couldn't get them all! But I just had to share, cause I thought you all would get a kick outta them! I also got these pictures of mexican vehicles, that are so detailed inside and out, that if you look through the windows the peole in the busses, trucks, car, ect all have exspressions. So neat! Every where I turned there was something new to look at!

Well, let's see them !
And where was all these treasures ?

These were bought in Mexico. See the legs sticking out from under the hood? There are people stuffed in ever possible compartment on these little things. And do you see the Duck and Turkey on top of the bus?

Sorry about the shadow, it was hard to get good pictures with the lighting.

All of the cabinet drawer pulls are miniature bird houses! So cute, and VERY colorful.

What about hail, do you all get large hail stones?

On the west side of the mountains we rarely get hail much larger than a dime. I have however seen hail the size of golfballs out north of Spokane. But I do not know how frequently that happens. Generally we have fairly mild weather here in Washington.

I can handle the golf ball size. It will be nice to get away from the 2 1/2" to 3" size hail. I have never been in hail that big but every year places 30 to 90 miles away from me will get some and man does it destroy anything in its path.

Oh the dime sized hail does damage too... Bloody heads, if your caught out in it. And there is never any warning when its gonna hail around here. Golf ball sized hail will still break windows, and put dents in cars...

I remeber being in Hershey Mo. stuck in an 18 wheeler, parked in a truck stop. The weather was SO bad that night, that we had 8 tornado's strike within a 1 mile radious in under an hour. That same storm just about tipped our truck over on the freeway, with its head winds. It's probably a good thing that I moved back home from South Dakota... lol I would have been one of the stupid/crazy people out chasing storms! lol I love weather, the more energy the weather creates, the better in my book! My favorite weather is monsoon season in Arizona, we sometimes get a good monsoon here in Washington, but its just not the same without the electricity like Arizona gets. Oh and as much as I freak out about the wind here at my home! I LOVE wind so long as its not knocking my trees around. lol
