for us too. At least we're going in the middle of the week so maybe there won't be QUITE as many people out at the same time... but yeah, tomorrow is payday and we've been waiting for that to do our shopping.
Well my payday was the 15th, but I decided to pay all but one bill with my check. So other than comcast we are all caught up on bills, so the rest can go to daily living and gifts. BUT... This year we have all decided that we are not purchasing anything for adults other than our spouces. Under 18 only this year. I will never let one of the kids in my life have a bad holiday season, I had many bad holidays growing up. And if I can give the kids around me a better memory then gods willing I will do it.
we did the same thing... and I don't get paid till Thursday.. so talk about LAST minute shopping.. irgh.. Hope everyone survives their shopping excursions. I HATE shopping, especially at The Maul. (any time of year at that). I will try to do as T says, and remember to relax and enjoy the Christmas things.. get a nice yummy cider from Starbucks and enjoy the Christmas music in the aisle ways... Kids crying at the mall Santa center... heehee!
I remember one time as a kid I could put all of my gifts in a shoe box, and they were all handmade. As an adult, my mom told me that was THE TIGHTEST Christmas we had ever had.. Funny thing is.. it was also one of my best memories of Christmas ....
My worst Christmas ever was when I drove my mom crazy bugging her to open presents .. she finally did let me, I think it was 5 days before. I got to sit and watch everyone else open presents Christmas morning. Sucked bad. Now I don't open ANYthing until Christmas morning. I learned to appreciate the anticipation I guess. lol!! It was as hard on mom as me she later told me.
