Sometimes I think the power companies mess with our bills and hope they will get enough people who don't notice. 3 yrs ago I put up 6 strands of LED Christmas lights outside, and my bill for that month was $750! That's double our usual winter bills. I talked with about 5 other neighbors with lights and they all said their bills were doubled. PSE refused to adjust the charge, but the following summer there was one month where my bill was less than $50, and that's not typical either.

Been off here the last couple days... shopping and such... but it's DONE! Yay!

As for my chickens, I only got 5 eggs yesterday! Don't know what's up with that... They've been very slow about egg-laying lately. Well, I do have 6 girls who are very quickly growing in new feathers. They were molting slowly, but suddenly, they're just covered in pin feathers... must be the cold making them hurry up about it and they've just stopped laying all together because of it. Also have 2 broodies out there. One is my buff brahma... 9 months old and already broody for the 2nd time. lol

My polish roo, Einstein, was dead the other morning. I went in to let them all out and he was just lying there, face-down. I have no clue what could have happened. He seemed in perfect health up to then. He wasn't being picked on or anything, no injuries to be seen... I wonder if maybe it was a heart attack or something?

Illia- I'm sorry about your goat

As for Tansy... yes it grows around here. The only place I've ever heard about it has been from family members who grew up around here, always warning about tansy in the field and how poisonous it is for livestock. I don't know what it does to them, but if you ever see it growing anywhere, pull it up!
