Thanks....when I got to see the heartbeat it was pretty cool...just a white flashing "light" sort of...but still, a heartbeat...it's so weird to think that another person is GROWING in my uterus! LOL

I loved loved loved being pregnant. It is the most amazing thing to carry that little person for 9 months..... <3 I hope you have the best pregnancy ever and are able to enjoy every minute of it. I carried my son high and waaay out in front--my husband called me 'bassetball'..

Ginger, my EE, laid her first egg. It's not blue or green as I hoped it would be. It's kind of pale pink. Here it is with one of Roz's and Maisie's eggs.

Snowing heavy with thunder and lightening. Sticking to cars and decks, but way too warm (46*F) to last.

jbear, I'm cancelling out your request for more snow with mine for no snow.

I think that the insurance company, the VW dealership and the auto wreckers are all in bed with each other. I contacted the Green Car Company in Bellevue that specializes in VW TDI engines. They think they can do a complete engine replacement for about $4,500. Waay less than the $10,000+ quoted by Chaplins to our insurance. I thought this would be great news, called my agent who said I need to get an itemized bill from Chaplins (now waiting 4 hrs for that to be faxed to me), and once I get that, we need to "discuss with our adjustor if engine replacement is indeed a good option for you." By the exaspereated tone I heard, I think they have all made up their minds already that they are going to scrap our car! I think the wrecker must need a TDI in otherwise great shape for parts. Grrrr. I would think it would be a no-brainer to have the thing towed a few more blocks to someone who can repair it for less than half what VW would charge! They have had our car since December 16; you'd think we'd have SOMETHING to drive by now! NOTHING has been done yet!!!

At this point I am so mad at the whole lot of them, that if Greencar said it's not worth repairing (which they won't), I'd take the car back home and turn it into a shiny red Slug Bug chicken coop! How cool would that be?

No, our coop is too small to put a light in. It does have two small windows.
