lemme see.. i think Southerly- ish? I am terribley directionally challenged! It has 3 stars diagonally across the sky..that's his belt.. and a nice red giant star (betelgeuse) in his 'shoulder' area (at least what I call his shoulder) so those are the two things to look for -- a reddish star --it's very obviously red-- and those belt stars.

No I didn't see that but this afternoo we had to go to Toledo and got a beautiful view of Rainier, St Helens and Adams. I can't see any of them from home but if I go a couples I can see all 3. I can't believe jbear bailed and didn't even tell me where in the sky to look !!!! We have clear sky and since we live out in the styx I have control of any local lights so I can make it real dark !

Onion - Basically look for a VERY distinctive row of three diagonal stars, which just below them have another shorter row of three smaller vertical stars. All together it kind of looks like a kite on a string.

this is another easily found one.. This is Cassiopeia.. looks like a large W or M depending on the season and is not too far away from Orion. to his left I think.

we have Very Large Murals in the city.

Actually have a pretty durn nice drive into work if it's clear out...
hope you find some constellations...if'n not--at least enjoy the stars anyways!

OK so I went out looked to the south and sure enough there was the pic shown but I have a poor imigination and all I could see were the stars not picture.

So now ya want me to go back and look for the other one. BRB Yes we do have clear sky but do ya realize it is a bit chilly out there???

Nope no luck finding the second one but if the stars are not bright I have trouble seeing them.
BTW do ya know what that big tall brown building in down town Seattle is ???





It's the box they shipped the space needle in.

Well I just fed the dragon for the night and now Quincy is laying in front of it telling me it is time to go to bed. So guess I better get off here. Have a busy day tomorrow trying to get loaded to take a load of non ferrus to Portland on wednesday.
