Has anyone put eggs in lockdown and heard a chick peeping on day 18? I just put some in and one is peeping away. I swear it's going to hatch by tomorrow.

Never seen Topo gigio. Only heard my DH mimic him. I think because TV was limited I never watched the Ed Sullivan show. Maybe on too late (or possibly sensored LOL). I know the 'adults' watched it though.

I kinda grew up without TV--Any cartoons I watched were at friends houses! lol!

When I hatched in the Styro hovabators I would have a batch hatch a day early probably because the temps were a smidge high but thats day 20. This Sportsman is spot on with the temps and it's only one egg. It's a Black Orpington. Oh well, just an early bloomer I guess. Watch, it will probably wait till day 21 to hatch. Kind of freaked me out. I held each one up to my ear to see which one it was. Wonder how long it can last with just the air in the air space before needing to pip.
