Loved all those movies. Paint your wagon, 7 brides for 7 brothers, Fiddler on the Roof, any Audrey Hepburn or Gene Autrey movie....Love them.

The man I bought my first horse from (I still have her, she's 19 years old) was in Paint Your Wagon. He was one of the guys driving a HUGE mule train. I've never watched it all the way through.

Oh, my gosh Heather....that is so neat. Now I am going to have to pull the movie out and watch it.

BLRW are not an accepted color for showing...they look like alright birds if you're just starting out....where did you get them?

you can still enter them for fun and so that people can see them who might not otherwise. I do that with the MFC's--you just enter them under AOV. Dan had a couple of his BLRW's at the last show. I LOVE that coloring, very stunning I think. It's fun just to see how the judge will place them within their variety.

That is true.

I believe you and I are close in age noted from FB. My wife is 9 years younger then me. She does not remember the Jackson 5 record on the back of cereal, I think it was Sugar Smacks.

Funny. My DH is 9 years older than me. I remember having a Jackson 5 lunch box.

I had a speed buggy lunch box.

There was a guy on CL selling Label Rouge chicks south of Portland. I was going to call him and get the scoop but I never did. I did a quick search of the Label Rouge chicken and it looks like it is an alternative to the cornish x...I think. I'm still unclear though... It seemed to be more than just the bird. And since I never called I don't know the entire story. Anyone ever hear of Label Rouge?

Ah I remember your story of living in the piney woods ...it is a wonderful way to grow up and appreciate other things besides the TV.

i was remembering we lived 'in town' for a short period of time and had TV then... only three channels. I remember my mom watching M*A*S*H . reminds me of Tonasket and winters.... I liked living in town, but was glad when we moved back out into the country!

CL--you are right, I wouldn't change it for anything!

I can't find any pictures of him in the movie but I do remember my mom telling me that he had a beard in the movie.

Label Rouge is the same thing as Freedom Rangers. Heard of them, heard many good things about them and don't know much more past that.
