Feelin' okay....just getting used to feeling like crap, I guess? LOL I got some of those "Sea Bands" that seem to be mildly helping...but I'm still super-queasy. I went in today for another check up...they are concerned with my thyroid levels....thinking I might have something going on...I guess the high "normal range" is 2.0 and mine was 2.32? Oh and my blood type is A neg, DH's is O positive so there is a series of shots I get to take to ensure my body doesn't reject the fetus as something foreign or bad.

Oh and my new due date is 8/23/2011.

Other than that....still trying to sell off a few extra birds...one goose, a pair of calico cochins....a bantam orloff roo, a pair of LF orloffs...

It's not snowing here, and when I look outside, it does not even look like it's gonna snow. I can clearly see the mountains all the way up the pass.

My 2 EE's spent the night outside last night.... at 7 pm it was 26; not sure how cold it got. DD did not notice they were perched on the run roost when she locked up the coop. Poor birds. They seemed just fine in the morning when she discovered her mistake, running around and begging for treats as usual. The chipmunk looking EE with the black beard started doing the squat today, so soon she will be laying too! She has a pea comb where my nearly white EE has a very short single comb.

You can make your own Starter by putting 1 large can of Fruit Cocktail and 3 cups of sugar in a 1 gallon jar, stir well, let it set on your counter for 1 week. If you want, add 1/4 cup of any brandy. Use a dishtowel with a rubber band to keep out flying critters. Yarn or some kind of string will also work. Don't put a lid on it. You don't need the brandy. Sugar & fruit setting on the counter for 21 days, this will walk!!!

1st Day 1 1/2 c. starter
1-2 1/2 size can peaches (syrup & all)
2 1/2 c. sugar

7th Day Add to Above
2 1/2 c. sugar
1-2 1/2 size can pineapple ( chunk or crushed or tidbits)

Let stand 7days stir daily

14th Day Add to above
2 1/2 sugar
1- 2 1/2 size can fruit cocktail
1 8 oz jar marichino cherries

21st Day Drain Fruit divide into 4 parts
[save liquid to give your friends 1 1/2 c. a piece to use as a starter for their own cakes]
to each part of drained fruit add
1 Cake mix of your choice
1 box vanilla instant pudding
4 eggs 1 tsp vanilla
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. nuts (optional) Stir & Bake

350% for 1hour in tube or bunt pan

You can ice it or make a glaze and drizzle it over the cake.

I found this on a Google search. I haven't tried this version of friendship bread starter.

Yeah I have had the Bob's too, and my favorite is Arrowhead Mills, but a little half pound bag (2-12" crusts) is $8.99 and is rice, potatoe, flours and Xantham gum, all the basic stuff I have on my shelf...

wow, JB the fruit one looks GOOD!!!
I have 3 bottles of everclear that I got in OR for a friend in Monroe who was making blackberry brandy...and then he changed his mind so I have had this everclear forever!
Need to do something with it...I do not like to actually drink it as it is KILLER and I have no idea if it will contain anything that will make me sick, so...

Attention:: Who has Speckled Sussex, as close to Florida as possible ? SQ please? Please PM me !!!
I already PM'd Nancy Garry asking her but she is offline for the time being~~
Greenfire is too expensive and has NO speckled sussex.
Will keep hunting...this is for a friend in Florida.

We are all tucked in cozy here, holed up for the duration.
I am off to cook dinner, log on later......
