cheryl there is an easy solution. Don't ya have a dog crate around? just tell her that the little ********* go in the crate or it stays in the car end of story. I so understand. My BIL has this little rag mop and they always bring it to family gatherings with out asking and just turn it loose in the house. I can't stand the S T U PID dog. Luckily we don't have get togethers at our house cause that little dog would not be welcome and I would make it known in advance. See there is an advantage to living in a tiny house.

We will be canning about 25-50 chickens from Scott (patriot farms) sometime next month. He has a batch of Roos that he will be culling. Mom and I are on a tight budget so we have been trying to gleen anything we can as well as buy bulk meats and can it. We have a ton of jars and I know of many places to get wild berries or fruit from "lost" trees. I'm still hunting for a clean patch of salal (not sprayed with anything.) and huckleberries.

If anyone knows of a old orchards or fields not used but still growing?

Yep! My place! I have a small orchard. A few old apple trees, and a bunch of cherry trees. We also have wild water cress that grows in our little crick. Lots of black berries in the fall as well, and theres a nice little grove of huckle berries up in the woods. But I would have to go find it again.
