We have most here the size of a medium snake..gags the chickens LOL!!!!!!

Glad you still have power.
Gee, I'm regretting not getting the battery adaptor for my incubator.
I have 5 eggs in there.

Trees were bent clean over !!

Wow, I never knew that there were so many people from Washington on here. I've spoken to Chickielady on the Marans thread, I believe....and I'm still looking for someone to mill your wood. With gas prices what they are, I don't go for many "Sunday Drives" anymore....
I'm glad to see others from Washington, tho, and I welcome all to check out my website (Blogsite). I am single -- ladies -- so if anyone would like to talk to me, please e-mail me or PM.
I'm in Castle Rock. It's been windy all day, wet all afternoon, and it is looking like the best (I love storms) is yet to come!

Oh I love your bunnies.
Maybe I'll get one for my nephew when he comes back from Shanghai in April.
How big will they get???
My nephew wants an indoor bunny.

Clarence and his girls have not begun lay yet, but I suspect any day now..and when they do, I will incubate eggs and sell some pretty babies.

Yep. Thorns up to 2" long. And boy do they hurt, and also the tiny little poke you get from them, 90% of the time will get infrected... Very pretty when they bloom, just as pretty as cherry blossoms, and the smell is wonderful if not a little pungent. And BOY are they ever a messy tree. I thought Maple tree's were messy! These trees constantly drop limbs of all sizes. New sticks on the ground every day, and about once or twice a month they drop a limb bigger then 4" thick. The neighbors honey bees love them. And I think I have close to 40 of them on my property alone, but alot of them are runners. We will be attempting to take most of the runners out, this year. Pretty much anything smaller than 6" thick will be taken down.

Ok I'm gonna have to pick your brain about worm bins this spring... If you don't mind.

Having a high water table is common I think here in Western Washington. Just 2 doors down from me my friends backyard has water up to her lawn. I'm just 1-2 feet higher than her. And we are on a hill. Still trying to figure out how the water flows up the hill.

Speaking of waterlogged ground. Raspberries are very prone to root rot. They mostly need a very organic, well draining soil. When I planted mine I dug a large trench and filled it in with mostly compost. There are some varieties that are more resistant.

blueducklings,

When I first read your post, I thought you meant that Raintree refused to talk to you. I was going to take the blame. They might have stopped talking to customers after I called and asked: If I plant 3 types of raspberries close together will they cross pollinate and make mutant raspberries?

ETA- I usually get a lot of suckering off the raspberries in the spring. If anyone wants let me know. I'll not toss them in the yard waste. I have Prelude, Red Summit and Golden Summit.

Looks like the wind made it's way to Monroe. WHOOOO! That's whippin'
Glad I don't have to worry about my incubators (not pluged in yet). The lights flickered twice.
Nevertheless I still have to go get a fire going just incase we do loose power.

These are not pet bunnies, and will applesauce you up.
They have claws way bigger but just as sharp as a cat's, and use them as they get scared easily.
They are not pets.
They get very big !
I would say close to 10 pounds for mature stock.
