Well, now having read through many, many posts...I know when the show is....and I have bookmarked it. I would love to be able to come over...I am not counting on it, butcha never know. I have relatives in Duval, maybe I can stay with her.

I grew up in California (Bay Area) and there was an old abandoned apricot orchard on the hill above our house. We'd go there many times each summer for the sweetest apricots, and we'd dry them on our balcony in the sun on these huge drying racks my dad built - enough to cover the balcony. These trays are puny in comparison; and I have never been able to find apricots as sweet as those.

OH YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!
And FiL has alot of acerage in walnuts, almonds, and apricots!!
And the apricots ripen in April, so we time our visits

The walnuts in November (Turkey Day) and the almonds in about September..so we make many trips up & down I-5....

Yes, I drive school bus.

I was out sick yesterday and my high schoolers tore up a seat and gave the sub driver a horrible time. So, I had to put on my big girl voice and have security and the principal come out this morning and rip some serious "peaches"!!!!

I had a Dr appointment again today and I knew they would have a sub again this afternoon. So Miss Bus Driver had to lay it down! Guess I made them mad!

OH Well!!!!

They should just behave!

On top of that I have been having some seriously "applesaucey" health things going on.

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger...... I'm stinking Superwoman!!

God only gives us a load heavy enough that we can handle....... I must be a freaking heavy hauling semi!!!

Yeah, I'm just thinking about the birds all having to spend the night in the car in crates....I dunno, I'll probably stay anyway, I'm always so tired after a show and getting up so early, and I already have Sunday off, it'd be no different than if they were shipping somewhere in a box...less time actually...

I'm less than an hour south of the show and have some new secure covered runs that have never been used yet if you would like to leave them here overnight. Depending on how many people you have with you, I may even have a place for you to stay. That way you can go out, and not have to worry about your birds.(I'm still wanting to buy a few Faverolles

) Luckily my DH is actually liking the chicken adventure even though he had no interest in the first birds until we got some eggs.

I will be at the show, just am not sure what to enter..so tomorrow I will go out and take a keener look at my birds..and then make up my mind about entering!!
Gotta go and watch the NASCAR dual at Daytona !!

After seeing the pic I can tell I really messed up making that roo for CL. WE should have put her farm name in the arc around the roo. Cl do ya want me to redo it that way and maybe I can do a nicer job on the next one. And then you could pass that one on to some if ya want. Let me know.
And not trying to brag just saying that yes if someone can draw a desing I can cut it out as long as it doesn't have a lot of fine detail. I don't see the little stuff that well. And I quiver like a dog tryin to pass a peach pit. I have another 33" disk of steel left if anybody wants me to make anything. I try to keep my prices low and feel free to ask CL if it was a fair price to her.
