No more car shopping!!! Life can get back to some sort of normalsy!!!

Good morning BYC! Hope everyone is able to enjoy another day of freezing sunshine! Its a wgole whopping 23* here at home! Someone forgot to turn up the furnace! I am SO very ready for spring to be here!

CL kind of funny at the time you posted about the fried rice we were at a gathering eating. One of the dishes was the fried rice we were requested to bring. I made 15# of sweet n sour pork and a huge pot of fried rice. They cleaned up the SnS and we have about one bowl of rice left for the chickies. The rice you want is CALROSE (type) rice.

I overslept, so didnt go into work this morning. Not an issue though as I can go in anytime durring non business hours and clean. I have no idea how cold it was this AM, but when I got home at 7 the temp was at 23*. And that was the reading from the brightest spot. My shaded thermometer is reading 21* right now... Brrr.

Yes we always rinse it first. And it is still a little sticky !!!

Good Morning all,

Not quite so chatty yesterday. Didn't take long to get caught up at all. Yesterday morning I had 15 pages!

Yesterday was also very busy! Fun to meet 4Hmom, Tamara and the three very nice girls. We had 3 BYCers here at once! The third was wthchristi (Christi). Shes a regular as she is working on the same breeds as I am. Got lots of birds moved around. No more lav Orp chicks for a while. I got my Black Orps with the Lavs. Can't wait to see how the offspring turns out.

Excited to be getting some Delaware thanks to help from Chicky. She's hatching some for me and also ordered them as fillers in a Sand Hill order. Also getting some eggs from Florida so should have a great start on them. Really shouldn't be adding any new breeds but couldn't resist. They are gorgeous big birds.

On the cranky thing, I think if life continues the way it has I will be a very cranky old person. I seem to get crankier everyday. I used to be a very different person. I want the old me back. I hate feeling cranky.

Yes we always rinse it first. And it is still a little sticky !!!

We always rinse it too. Unless I want sweet sticky rice, or the steamed philipino rice that my DH Unkle showed me how to make... Takes a full day to make this specialty rice, as you have to soak it in sweet vinager and water in a special woven basket for close to 10 hours, drain out all water, then steam it, fluffing / mixing / flipping it on itself as it steams. Its really good, but very time consuming. And I cant remember what it is called, but gods forbid that you try to eat it with a utensil!!! lol I got some funny looks and a good scolding from my DH family for eating this rice with a fork!!!

I learned really quik that your supposed to eat that particular rice with your fingers. lol

CR...Did you get my PM a few days ago with the chocolate cake recipe? The site's been eating my PM's recently so I have to ask, lol. IF you didn't, I'll just post it here...so much easier and I love sharing cake and other recipes, lol.
