Ask the neighbor if the sound of the egg song is to loud would they prefer one of those yapping dogs that bark when a tree branch moves instead?
Enough is enough.
Some how people can keep dogs that bark all day but chicken noise is bad?

Not telling you to be mean but if we don't stand up for ourselves the idiots will be trying to control everything including the people in King County whom have no restrictions and it will only get worse.

I so agree with you Greg. The level of control is becoming overwhelming. I know that while I don't want be annoyed by constant noise, that there will be times when noise happens. I can remember having a neighbor that complained because one day the little boys were playing in the street (cul-de-sac) with a wagon. The neighbor was upset because they were making a little noise. It was less than an hour in the middle of the day. There is a point when people are to critical of everything. I would have understood if the kids played like that all day every day. But maybe an hour in the middle of the day, and it wasn't like the kids were screaming either.

I think that the ones that complain are often the ones with major control issues. It's sad when these people can control everyone else around them.

I agree.
And hey! Haven't kids played since the dawn of time... or creation? or whenever? Geez... rather happy or scrapping kids playing in the streets than gangs or thugs...
Sheesh!
What'na heck is going on around here??

We have a neighbor who hates kids and will start up his mower and place it on the property line between him and the neighbor with a swimming pool for the kids so he doesn't have to listen to the kids laughing and playing in the pool. The idiot would rather listen to a lawn mower? How warped is that?

I'm so sorry, Blue Blueduckling..
I truly do know how that feels. I did that to a full incubator last summer. Couldn't regulate the temp in the RV where I had the incubators no matter how I tried and I don't have one room in my house that I could regulate either. So, I am very shy of starting any eggs this year. That broke my widdo heawt too too much

Heck no, I have my own private small state here.
OK, a county.

and I am sooo happy I do not have to sit o my patio next to my $1200 koi pond, and listen to my neighbor's kids getting spanked and screamed at, or their love making, or their toilets flushing (and other potty noises) Seriously, their home, and all the windows open, was exactly 4 feet away from our backyard patio.
Why?
Cus their modular was installed in sidesways, so their back slider was smack at our backyard, the only way they could fit a home on the pie shaped parcel.
I left.
Even more wonderful was their collection of chihuahuas..they decided a day care and chihuahua farm was for them.
The yappy dogs would run up and down the aforementioned fence. No amount of pleading would keep this 'easement' space blocked off for our privacy..they had kids screaming & fighting, dog yapping & snarling at us while we sat on on patio.
They were entirely rude & unfair.
They went out of their way to go up & down the fence peeking and screaming kids , throwing rocks in our koi pond, through windows, and they insisted it was not them that through the rocks...

and dogs.

So much for my newly constructed art studio.

It was rude for them to expect us to just tolerate their noise and chicld care business, or their dog business.
For a while they had 8 or 10 chihuahuas and up to 16 toddlers in the yard there, 4 feet away.
The woman stayed in the house, and the kids would fight, over toys, dogs crying snapping & biting, kids tormenting dogs, garbage everywhere...crying kids, did I mention toddlers beating up 1 yr olds ?
Kids falling off the swing set, did I mention kids crying ?
Kids in pain ?
I cannot handle it.

And I could do nothing about it, and I did not want to be there anyway, why waste the last best years of my life having to put up with that applesauce?

OH my Heavenly Goodness!!!
I can't imagine... Eegads! I am running moments ahead of foreclosure here. Frightening as all get-out. Today my son's fiance asked me if I would ever consider moving to Seattle??? You know? I think I would rather swallow the business end of a pistol... I haven't done the city since I was 21... 42 years ago. I just don't think I could make the transition. I live on 5 acres and my neighbors are just about too close.
But having such rude people crammed up your patooti... Yikes, I can't imagine.

It's not new to me in terms of what I know of it, how to control it, etc - It's new to me in terms of family members having it though. There are actually a couple things that can really help it, but one big, important one, is a raw diet. (uncooked greens, nuts, seeds, etc) - Really controls levels and allows the body to produce insulin again. We cannot possibly afford to eat like that yet, but I'm sure our garden will offer us all we need once it starts.

Eeyeeww... raw potatoes..
Just kidding... I considered going raw at one time, but I had to allow for maybe a potato or two. I still haven't gone raw but I make sure I have my juiced carrots apples celery beets and spinach / parsley at least once a day. And lots of vegies. I think it really helps.

Well since it seems to be so slow here tonight I will share a little FUNNY story. Last night while at a gathering I was talking with a guy who lives over somewhere by twisp or tonasket or pateros area. He told me that his neighbor has a bunch of banty's and the pheasant roosters come and breed the banty's. which causes the banty to lay cute little tiny green eggs! Now I ain't no expert but this mating would not effect the eggs being laid right only from any offspring of such mating. But I would have to wonder if the eggs of such mating would even hatch. I thought this was pretty funny. I also am pretty sure that Dewy likes lots of herbs and I think he prefers to be dried and burned if ya know what I mean. So I just had a good laugh to myself and didn't bother to tell him any different.
