LOL

Well Jeanine, I just spent several minutes perusing the auction site where I have no business being, and I saw your latest offering for SF eggs. You realize it's auctions like yours that make it difficult for some folks to resist buying an incubator and get into more trouble don't you? Just sayin'. Beautiful birds of yours...

LOL...well, I do my best to enable!! Haa haa. Thanks! I LOVE them!!!

Blueducklings-- sometimes we order stuff that needs to be kept cold, so they come in the shipments (I am a tech at a veterinary hospital)

That is the coop?

It is fancier than a KOA cabin. Lucky chickens.
My duckies only got 4 sheets of ply.

Shhh don't tell them about the chicken palace or they might go on stirke.

I'm only getting the one egg now as it is.

A bear tore down my neighbor's chicken coop - and it was a fairly sturdy cabin. I'm hoping they can't tear this one down.

I will have some large plywood scraps and lumber scraps ... I need to first build some benches for my greenhouse, and then I will post what I have left here. We have some formerly gorgeuos large wood beams that were cut the wrong size when we built the house ... they are covered in moss now. Sad to see them waste. I need to find someone with a planer who can use them.

Just be watchful and careful. I've heard stories of bears breaking into just about anything they want to like into garages through the doors.

I think that every time I wake up and look out the window - especially after growing up in San Jose, looking toward Mt. Hamilton and seeing brown smog so thick that only the top of the mountain would stand up above it! It reminded me of the brown toilet rings in some service station bathrooms.

I always said that one day I will live somewhere and like what I see when I open my eyes in the morning.

I was in San Jose every Thanksgiving as a kid, at my great aunts. No interest in going back to Cali. Wouldn't mind some of their warmth right now though!

Chicky, Yay on the Delaware eggs! I have some enroute from Florida also. Hope they are here by tomorrow. It's day three with priority shipping. And Florida! Long way to go.

Good news on my Mille Cochin hatch. My Ricky and Lucy who were taken by coyotes a few weeks back have some chillun! Since their passing I have only hatched mottled splits (Ricky dad and mottled moms all taken) But yesterday I hatched 3 blond fuzzy butt chipmunks. They can only be from Lucy who is a Mille. So happy to continue with their offspring!
