How Eggstremely, eggsquisitely eggciting!!!!

The Brabant area of holland is where my mother is from, but they did not raise brabanters. She had Barnevelders. I think Brabanters look like Polish (which are also from Holland).

I want to see pictures of the chicks as they are developing.

These are Cream Brabanters of the breeder I've ordered from. Aren't they cool?

Those are grogeous! How many eggs did you get? Can't wait to see them hatch, of course I'll be jealous of all the baby pictures that people are posting.

I've ordered a dozen. I'd really like a dozen more from another source for genetic diversity, but it seems to be too early in the year for a lot of breeders.

OMG, A hindu eating eggs is like a Jewish eating BBQ pork.
Why would the doctor tell her to do such a thing?? They wouldn't do that to jewish moms.
There are lots of good protein out there. And to have a meat spot. What are the chances!!
I guess to a Hindu, the main thing is that the eggs are absolutely not fertilized. That would be bad. I know many buddhist who eat no eggs either because they can't be sure that the egg is not fertilized. I mean look at my costco eggs. They were fertile. That is why I'm hatching all my eggs. Can't eat them ..they are alive.

I'll have to seperate the males once I'm done incubating ducklings so I can eat some eggs.

Ooh, it looks almost like the chicken that had CPR except yours are darker coloured.
Nice birds.

She said they eat lentils and other proteins every day, but their boy is very anemic. I should ask who her pediatrician is. There is only 1 in the North Bend Snoqualmie area, and he's Jewish (and very young). Until he started his practice a few years ago, I'd still drive to Woodinville Pediatrics ... Tried Pine Lake too, but they took just as long to get to). It took me a while to warm up to this guy ... he sometimes does not know how to word things in a respectful way. Everyone at Woodinville knew about DH's skin, and nobody ever made me feel guilty about it. I took DD in to this guy for an infection around a splinter on her foot, and he ripped me about her skin (he's a dermatologist too). He did lighten up a bit when nothing he prescribed cleared up her skin either.

On that line, I made pasta premavera yesterday with brown rice penne and pesto sauce. DD liked it after she pulled out every bit of broccoli, bell pepper, onion and tomato. She did eat the carrot though as I did not cook it. She chose panuts for a snack item today as the only other thing we have are nutri-grain bars and some girlscout cookies that DH bought. Not sure what is for dinner ... She wants steak. I want salmon. Got steak in the freezer, so I guess she wins.

I will be oh so happy when this all melts:

I get to shovel mounds like this every time I want to use my car. It has 2 larger sections of roof that dump out in front of it. We looked at the pile and did not drive anywhere from Tuesday afternoon until Sunday. Now at least the pile is a bit more manageable.

Edit to add- the snow turned to rain at noon; WooHooo! Now I'm hoping it won't freeze overnight or I will need to use a pick-axe to get out of the garage!
