I'm here CL, just hit a tough spot today. Finaly got a responce on medical, and its a no go. SO... I'm about ready to hit the bar. On top of that DH has court today, and his lawyer was 45 minutes late. Court started at 10:30, and he didnt arive until 11:15, said he forgot!

And then on top of that! My family is trying to drag me into their own personal drama, borderline accusing me of stealing... Yeah ok I took a pizza crust that I had permission to have. So I guess that makes me a thief now. And my sister seems to have forgotten that I am housing BOTH of her horses for free, plus I do all the darn work! She hasn't touched her horses in over 5 month!

She's complaining that she has had to pick up hay the past 3 times... UH HELLO!!! I don't have a truck, or other vehicle to hall hay in!!!

So I'm trying to deal with alot of crap being dumped on me all at once,

along with doing my darndest to be a good momma to my little girl. I SO can't wait until the show. I really need a break from home.

Sorry about my rant everyone...

Do the bar thing, and try hard to get AWAY from your family.
It is nice to be just far enough away, but not too far from family like that.
Do the bar thing !!!!!!!!!

Honestly that sort of stuff is something people don't know because they don't spend enough time with their chickens.

Oh yeah... I forgot about them pecking shiny objects. Now, when you say nipple do you mean like what is on a bunny water bottle? After 6 kids, I envision something rubber. But that's not right is it?

Bunny water bottle - steel ball in a tube .... and one of these:

I bought some (elsewhere) and punched them through the lids of old, squarish Olive Oil bottles from Costco. The square bttled are easy to lash to a side of a coop. The birds prefer the one with the bearing, but it drips. The "chicken nipple" type does not drip other than when the birds peck at the nipple.

avianaquamiser show some ways to use nipples but they cost way to much from them.
