Good to know! The egg was dated the 19th which is before I moved them to the new coop. I had the chickens free ranging nearly every day, all day whenever the rain was not pouring down around that same time. Some of the times we had both the dogs wandering around the yard together with the chickens, but one day my younger dog decided that it was great fun to bat them out of the air when they try to fly (she nearly caught a Buff Orpington) Maybe that was it.
