OK, you guys made me feel better. I'm moving them upstairs while I'm gone. Ever since we lost the chicks last year to the brooder light going out, I feel like I am a little crazy when it comes to worrying about them getting cold!! And I know if I don't move them up here, I'll worry the whole time I am gone!!!

We keep a BB gun by the back door to scare off raccoons and crows that come in our yard and bother our chickens, never had a problem with cougars though in shoreline

I have some left over fire crackers and I'm a not a feared to use it.

I watched a show last night and this guy have 158 chickens living in his house. At the end of the show a guy from BYC was helping find homes for all but 20 which will be outside in a coop.

Yeah, that "guy from BYC" was Nifty!! Cuz he ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
