Ummmmm, I hate to break it to you....but a BB gun (which I have one and I use) would only piss of a cougar (mtn lion, etc). I could tell you too many cougar stories, from over the years. Some personal and some from a friend's experience. Take cougars serious....they arre not something you want to mess with.
hahaahahahahah
I would never go up against a cougar with a BB
I was just saying we do our little urban protection with the BB. I've been near one when I was up hunting theyyyy scaryy!
House cats are scary enough for me as it is
Okay, I did not mean to sound condescending. But I have heard so may people say things that were just so crazy off the wall (not on here necessarily). But a person that does not know anything about cougars may have thought that this might work cuz it is a "gun"....well, it works for the neighbor dog and the local cats (I have used it for both).....but for 100# cats it will not work.
I am glad you are not mad at me. I live in cougar country too and have many stories I could tell you. The house I grew up in...over in Twisp....had a colt killed up on the hill just behind the house. When the then owner went to look for the colt it walked around the corner and walked into the momma cat (face-to-face). She had kittens chewing on the horse. This was years ago. If anyone saw the cougar that used to hang in the Merc store over in Winthrop (years ago)....this was the cat.
I have walked into some of the upper inland lakes only to walk out and see cat tracks inside of my foot prints, following me up the trail.
A friend was out deer hunting....a buddy of his watched from across the valley as a cat was stalking him. Ended up having to shoot (not sure at the cat or just in the air) to chase the cat off his buddy's track.
Over in Twisp we always knew when there was a cat around the house because all the deer would disappear - as they would move out of the canyon to elsewhere. As soon as the cat had moved on....the deer came back.
