None of my nasty are incessant barkers. I can stand it either. The big dog barks a lot more these days, and drives me crazy, but there isn't much that I am going to be able to do about an old Komondor that wants to bark. When eeine got nipped the dogs were fighting. She got her finger much to close to some nasty snarling dogs. She had tooth marks on her finger, but there was no broken skin.
I have learned the hard way to keep my hands away from the dogs when they start to fight. It has been happening more often since the rescue dog came to live with us. I think that I may have got it stopped finally. I have taken to stepping hard enough to keep the oldest pup aka Chips pinned to the floor. The Chipper seems to be involved with all the fights. He wants to be the alpha male. But he really isn't, his dad is. I really need to find him a home where he can be an only dog or a one of two dogs.
The only other dog I have that I don't trust is the puppies mom. She is very protective of puppies. I usually pick her up, until she knows that a visitor has been welcomed into our home. I must say that I don't put up with really bad behavior from dogs. Both the puppies dad and the big dog seem to love everybody. I have a vet that would not put down, one of my dogs even though I felt that she was not safe with people and other animals. So I am leery about asking about putting down other dogs that I who's personalities are less than optimal. But I do not want pass on an animal to other people that I know can be truly nasty. So I don't know for sure that I can find the right place for the older pup. I do know that if I find the right place, he will be a great dog.
