Im here! I just got home from work! Wide awake and in a MUCH better mood.

Last night my husband decided to "fix" my computer, as it was running slow. Well normally when he "fixes" my pc, I have to go through it again and re-fix it. BUT!!! This time he actually didn't mess it up worse!

That means I dont have to sit here for hours un-fixing what he "fixed." lol

Wow, that is incredibly unprofessional.

Yeah my first clue should have been when something similar happened to me last year at the show...I was quoted one price and then the price had DOUBLED when we got to the show because "other people were showing interest." Hmmmm...

RFF:
Go onto Bass Equipment's web site and look at their stack cages.
I have them for my bunnies and they are great!
If I have a mean cockeral or a sick bird, (like bumblefoot) they can live in there.
I have the big cages, and DH even added a roost about 10" from the ceiling of one cage, so birdies could roost.

I am starting to think that I might finally break open my box of 96 Crayola Crayons, and color my Tudy. I have been gloating over this box of crayons now for years. This may just be a good reason to open the box. (I never had a box of crayons bigger than 24 as a kid. My mom always said that I didn't need anymore colors than that.

I still say that mom was wrong about that, and I have gloated about both a box of 64 crayons and this box of 96 crayons.

I think I have issues.

I guess all that is possible but other people argue that the mother hen is turning eggs and off the nest so whats the harm? I did read that you should wear gloves to keep oils and bacteria off the shells but if the hen gets off the nest each day the lack of heat and humidity was a natural regular occurence. I usually candle on day 7 so I can throw out the clears and make room in the bator then on day 18 before lockdown. Any more just takes up my time and is unnessesary but when I first started hatching I questioned my judgment and checked all the time. LOL, just couldn't take it. So eggciting.

I cannot argue about that, I have watched my broodies & sometimes they are off the nest for 10 minutes or more.
In fact, I have heard it is almost necessary for her to get off the nest everyday so the eggs can 'breathe'.....anyone else heard that ?
I also do not understand why they say to raise the humidity at day 18, the hen certainly cannot raise her humidity ?!?!
Like she has a knob somewheres, and alot of top hatcheries (like Stromberg) recommend you lower the incubator temp a few degrees on day 18 to pip, so the chicks are not too hot when they are trying to hatch out.
Hens can't raise their temps either.

I know it all makes since plus the dirty eggs they keep and the chicks are fine.. So you know thinking of that they dont shine a light in the egg, maybe its more the light..
