I must say that I am self entertaining. My goes up has been through a lot with me, and yet it is still one of the best I have ever known. My poor brain does not always work as well as I want it to, but I refuse to give up. Plus sometimes a person just needs to go up rather than sideways.

Teresa.. i wanted to tell you also, I would just bet the Brinsea will hold it's humidity perfectly(without the pump, i got the pump for the call duck eggs) .. The one I am using for my 'hatcher' (the hatchmaker) .. it holds temp/humidity rock solid. Once those eggs start pipping, the humidity goes up right where it should be and holds there. I think I have the humidity/temp thing down now on the incubator(octo 20 Ex advanced), at least for the seramas... This has been a great hatch so far, I am really pleased with mine.
I really-really think that the Octo 20 Adv is the one I am getting. I am justing making sure.....Do I really need this much machine? Will I really use it this much? I could always hatch for others. I bet I will hatch and sell chicks (just generic ones). I thought of just getting the Octo 20 Eco (not advanced), but with the rocker cradle...this is a bit less expensive, but I really think that the digital temp would be very helpful for me. I really need something fool proof. I am trying to make sure and justify buying the "Advanced". I really want it. I just want to make sure I am not over buying just because of the pretty colors and fancy lights (okay it doesn't have these two things, but you know what it is that I mean).

Dang! Don't they make it look sooo nice & easy & fast ?
I cannot figure out where do the feathers go ?
Do they blow out the bottom of the tub ?
I always thought you had to reach in & scoop them out!
Way cool!!!
The water they were spraying helps the feathers go out the bottom.
It absolutely amazes me how this thing works. DH was mortified...LOL. He used to be the big white hunter, but has got soft in his old age. He thinks of the chickens as his pets and cannot bring himself to butcher any of them....even if they were meaties...bought for that reason. (He is a sweety). HE can no longer hunt either....mutters under his breath at hunters to Leave HIS Bambi's alone. LOL. He used to kill a deer or two every year to eat.
Me on the the other hand....I would love to raise rabbits, a hog, and some chickens and send them to freezer camp. I am to cheap and lazy to hunt deer. Tags and licenses just cost too much...but I love fresh venison.
