Those were the first hatch .. I have to take pictures tonight of the hatch from yesterday/this morning
smile.png
so not technically 'new' pictures I guess - lol -

I've had it. Mine was not typical. Mine was extra long, doubled, and not where it was supposed to be. It meant my symptoms were not quite right, but my father convinced them to go in, and it was about to burst. They got it in time, and I think I went home after one night.

Holy Cow, I am egg-zasted with working all day and you guys have chatted so much there is no way the tired old fat chickielady can ever catch up!!
th.gif

I had the hot date with the post office this morning for SQ white rock eggs to pick up & drop of an identical box of eggs out to Cheryl for her new incubator, let's all wish her great hatchibility
fl.gif

Then I came home & put all the tomatoes out for sun in the cold frame..then cleaned Clarence's run..found lots of snakes and 1 sally-mander who we rescued and returned to the forest away from Abigail who wanted to eat him badly......I took a few photos of our snakes..they are hen gaggers !!
Clarence is such a gentleman he holds the snake up and lets his ladies have pieces..
They have a fresh clean run & coop.
I wheel barrowed the poopy stuff out and tomorrow I get to snip vent feathers on them and bathe their feet which get awful muddy ...they insist on scratching and digging for bugs and snakes....lucky I saved the sally-mander from Abigail.
She was ticked and screamed at me to have it !!
Poor little sally-mander was just trying to hide out in the muck for winter...and I disrupted his home.

But he is safe !!

Have yet more eggs in lockdown..and a HERD of ameraucana hatched out..............

and I am filthy & waiting for my pot of water to heat for a shower
lol.png

My Java Cockeral and his girlies are getting so big & absolutely gorgeous !!
They need their coop built, their OWN coop as I plan on having a bigger HERD of them. Soon.
And all else is well here...now off to bar be que country style pork and do stir fry rice

and eat.
I have come to the giant realization I do not have the flu as I thought..I have gotten the tiniest molecule of wheat, somehow.
And so I am sick & weak, but will recover, usually takes 3 weeks to roll around back to normal again.
has Illia been on ?
We are ready to go to her place on the 10th.....ok, later guys.
Stay cool

Before I go, I want to ask all the dog people out there, about the twisted stomach thing, like what just took Heather's Wolfhound...when we play with Jack (half Pyranees half Aust. shep) then we feed him dinner after.
I have heard that is better for them to exercise on an empty tummy, to prevent the gut from twisting.
Maybe you all can let me know what is best to prevent this from happening ?

Good for you DD. My DD just started piano, she loves it. I am so glad that she does. Congratulations to your DD...I hope she is happy.

Thanks...She was floating out the door to college this morning! She's doing the Running Start program so that she can get her AA and diploma at the same time. She loves her music professor and was so excited to be able to go and tell her.
Take lots of video of your little piano player cause you'll be amazed what they can do even 2 years later!

I loved that my kids were able to use the Running Start program. It is rather sad how few kids get to use the program. Is your daughter on target to get her AA at the same time as she graduates from HS?

My kids had a great piano teacher in Camas, and had one recital in Vancouver. But after we moved back to Enumclaw we were not able to hook up with another piano teacher. My DS is teaching himself how to play the guitar. He has the talent to play music, but he just needs to practice more.

What worked for us (and remember, he was not with us when he bloated)....moisten the food with water, provide plenty of fresh, cold drinking water and exercise BEFORE eating. We would lock him in his kennel at dinner time and in the mornings. Oh and we fed twice per day (two smaller meals rather than one large one).
Edited to add that you probably won't have any issues since he's a "mutt." Cash is 1/2 Anatolian & 1/2 Border collie and we've never had issues with him. Of course, he doesn't bolt his feed, either like Brodee used to and he's also not as high maintenance.

I don't think that you would end up any more damaged than Orgress did going down her her drive. Maybe we could get film this time.

Dear god please forgive me. I like to watch videos that I should not.

That's fine - when the video player on my computer still worked, I liked watching stupid videos of all the stupid stunts kids on skateboards do; had my kids addicted to them too, and we all laugh when the idiot gets hurt because who couldn't see it coming! Yeah, I'm gonna go down my roof on my skateboard, hope I can clear the fence and land in my neighbor's pool! What fools; competing for the next round of Darwin Awards!

Exactly. Because they can bloat on water, food, or even air...ANY time there is non-productive vomiting, or a sudden "full" look to their abdomen, it is an EMERGENCY.
