The foundation is built, and leveled, then the sub floor (those boards under the floor that supposrt it) then the floor (usually plywood or floor paticle board) then the walls are built on ehte floor & stood up, then the top sill is nailes in place.
So, where is the floor ?
You cannot build a floor with the walls already up.
Hope you get it straightened out, otherwise there will be a wet soggy dirt for a floor & rats and mice & creepies can get in, dig right under.
Otherwise, it looks great.

It's a raised coop, with the floor being 2 1/2 feet off the ground, screened in underneath. The coop itself is 4X8 and the total run size is 8X12, so 98 sq. feet. Although there ae plenty of pages and pictures to refer to, my builders build the way they want, so I'm hoping this works out!

Ahhhhh there is the explaination !!!

I will get you the name of the guy on here I got my ringnecks from last year. It was super cheap(less than $40), he sent me an extra dozen, and I had a great hatch rate even though they came from WI. That said, I hated them and got rid of them before they were grown...

suggestions is to place some plywood or I use corrugated roofing over the light area to help hold in heat. if that does not work you might need 2 lamps... make sure to heat one end and allow the other end to be cool. The entire brooder does not need to be 95-90F only a space big enough to hold all chicks snuggled together.

The birds will tell you if they are cold by piling in a squirming dog pile... they climb or burrow on the mates to get warm...

If they are to hot they will spread out away from the heat.

OK, and I PM'd Eagle2020...wanted to tell ya Rainwolf:: The renters next door seem to be moving out, Wayne is hiding, or dead, and a few guys with extremely potty mouths seem to have showed up and suddenly the water heater doors on the mobile homes are missing........hmmmm me thinks they are salvaging..probably won't be a toilet of pipe left.........DH says there has been a few guys over there working...LOL they are not working, they are striping everything they can get, just saying...

Yuppers, and if you use a few inches of sand, it will not only hold the heat, chicks need grit, AND bonus:: It is not flammable.
Good night all!!
