You cannot build a floor with the walls already up.

It's a raised coop, with the floor being 2 1/2 feet off the ground, screened in underneath. The coop itself is 4X8 and the total run size is 8X12, so 98 sq. feet. Although there ae plenty of pages and pictures to refer to, my builders build the way they want, so I'm hoping this works out!

I hear you on the builders build the way they want. MY DH does what he wants. He will ask me than do his own thing anyway.. But hay at least I get something up... He was a Drafts man in the army so he can build...

OK, and I PM'd Eagle2020...wanted to tell ya Rainwolf:: The renters next door seem to be moving out, Wayne is hiding, or dead, and a few guys with extremely potty mouths seem to have showed up and suddenly the water heater doors on the mobile homes are missing........hmmmm me thinks they are salvaging..probably won't be a toilet of pipe left.........DH says there has been a few guys over there working...LOL they are not working, they are striping everything they can get, just saying...

Yuppers, and if you use a few inches of sand, it will not only hold the heat, chicks need grit, AND bonus:: It is not flammable.
