What if you cut a big hole in a snow shovel and put a 1/4 mesh in it.
YOu can then walk the coop like a zen master.

Dutch Cup has been there for a thousand years.
Never stayed there though.
She could stay in Leavenworth albeit trendy and more likely expensive this time of the year, get up early and be in Monroe early enough.
I have some hen saddles to donate to the raffle, and

gave a song bird feeder & hummer feeder to WA4-HPoultryMom to donate on my behalf in case I didn't make the show, but we will be there.
I am also going to dig around to see what else I have that can be donated to the raffle.
Wish I could get over to Rainwolf's place, she & her Mom have so many cool knick-knacks and stuff that would be great as donated items for the raffle..wish you could make it rainy!!!!!!!

CCG::: I use sand in all my brooder pens, and DH made me a sfter out of a square plastic child's sand pail..he set up his propane torch, got a 16 penny (16d) and heated up the nail held by vice grips and stuck little holes in the pail until the entire bottom was done.
Now I can scoop (cuz it is square) and hold the pail, all the sand just sifts out, a little shake now and again.
Poops stay mostly in the pail.
This would work on a larger scale for the big doo doo if you just went a step bigger.
It is dusty though.
But if you did do it, you would not need the dust bath tub either!!

what raffle and what do you need?
If someone can come get it I'm sure we can donate something or a lot of things lol

I think it's in connection with the show in Monroe.
If that's the case, I'd be happy to take some things along provided they fit in the trunk of my Honda Accord.
I go right by your place at least twice a week.
PS: my happy hens are groovin' on your feed. So far, no mess. Thanks again for including me on your order.

Washington Feather Fanciers has a raffle of donated items evey show. They set up a big table & display the items with numbers and corresponding paper bags.
You then buy tickets, I think $1 each, and brose the items.
if you see something you like, you then drop a ticket into that item's bag.
After the awards, the 4-H kids hold up each item, and another child draws out 1 ticket and the winner is announced.
Items need not be chicken related.
Last show I won some beautiful embroideried kitchen towels that are way too pretty to use except for a holiday maybe...and there is always hatching & breeding books, gardening items, trees & flower starts, birds, rabbits, stuff for guys like tools & gloves, you know, good stuff.
Cookie jars, coffee mugs, anything cute, salt & pepper shakers, lamps, napkin holders, feeders, water fonts, and someone made some nice bird cages last year too.
The proceeds go to WFF so they can rent the show arena, and pay the judges.

BTW;;Anyone that can, bring chairs for yourselves, they have very few.
We will have a table & WA4-HPoultryMom will set it up with Cloverleaf Farms's table there. So try to bring a folding lightweight chair & put your name & address on it.
