Born with a mohawk, here's my first hatchling.

OK, so I was impatient & I wanted to hear the chirps, so I stuck a flex hose into hte hatch box, & Mo had a hatching coach.

Mo would zip everytime I quacked at it.

Half an hour later....here is Mo, the Mohawk duckie.

Not sure what colour it is...maybe blue?

Will give Mo a better name once we figure out if Mo is a girl or boy.
The other 2 in the hatch box is still just sitting there.

Do you drive up Hwy 18? If you want, you can drive to North Bend and then I can drive the rest of the way, then you can decide if you want to stay in NB or drive home after the show. You'd cut your morning drive in half if you sty the night.

I just made 16 (8oz) jars of strawberry jam, yum! Strawberries were on sale at QFC. Not anywhere near as good as when made with strawberries from my yard, but we thought we were out of jam. Nice surprise when I was retrieving jars from the basement - 2 full jars of backyard blackberry jam that had not fit on the shelf when I made it, so they ended up in the case of empties!

coincidentally, my DH worksfor Microsoft, and he has stayed up for about 30hrs straight trying to track down a bug (He called it a "Heisenbug), and as I was typing that last post, he started cheering because he fixed it,so maybe you fixed his bug too!
