Whew that's a relef! We were down today so I went to an afternoon performance of a play I needed to see. Came home then jumpednin the car so I could see my brother's improv troupe perform at the Jewelbox theater in Belltown. It was hilarious but in the back of my mind I kept thinking how much fun it would be to come home and catch up on a day's worth of posts only to find the thread was still broken. But now it's fixed and all seems right with our little world again.

Ahhhhhhhh I'm hoping these guys hatch soon! I can't imagine why they wouldnt, humidity and temperature have been good and constant the whole time and they've been in an auto turner. HMMM just late I suppose.

Well this part of the world is good again. I am just going to not upset the thread again. And here I thought I had been behaving myself late at night. I can safely toddle off to bed with all the nasty little dogs.

Umm... I'm 98% sure I hit a beaver on my way home this morning from taking my DH to work... I didn't even realise that there are beaver still around here. Ive lived here for most of my life and have never seen one, until this morning... And unfortunately, I saw it to late... At first I thought it was a racoon... No way was that a coon, then it dawned on me what that mouse brown critter was...

Poor thing, wish I could have had time to swerve around it, but on wet windy roads, swerving isnt the smartest thing to do...

Sad morning for me, I just hope that I killed it, and didnt just injure the poor thing.

Ive already called animal control, and the lady said she would send someone out to check...

Don't know what else to do about it, besides try to not beat myself up to much over it...
The thought that it might have been an otter did run through my mind... But it was to short in the back to be an otter... Poor little critter...

cheryl don't beat yourself up over it!!! While it is sad that you hit a critter (and I agree hopefully killed rather than just injured) you made the better choice. I have the outlook that if it is critter or ditch....sorry critter. I will do my best to avoid it but I am not going to crash for a small critter. Now if it is something large like horse cow or elk there is some very fast decision making going on.
