Haller, it is so hard to read how you reply first then apply the quote....:/RFF will LOVE having baby!!!!!!!!!
I am going to look into a plucker, I hate plucking..wet & messy and feathers every where.
I am so sick of processed chicken..we bought 2 bags the other day and I could smell the rot at the checkstand,,no one else could, so the bagger went to get 2 more, and outside before we put the chicken in the car I got my car keys & ripped the pack open........

So we have no chicken to eat...to hades with that!!
I am going to get some meat birds and have DH build a plucker..he has nothing else to do right now at the moment anyways.......

Poor Heather...I didn't want to pop your bubble....I was just excited about the freezer birds. I figured I would talk with you later and see if you are truly up to it or not.

I have ordered my incubator. I'll be searching for some Marans and Welsummer eggs for dark brown as well as Araucana or Ameraucana or EE for blue eggs. I don't need SQ - just friendly girls (and a roo or two) for eggs to eat and share. I showed dogs (Bichons) for almost 20 years and I know it's LOTS of work. I'm enjoying my free time now so I will just be hangin' out and visiting with my girls.

I can help you with BCM eggs and Wheaton Marans also if you want some that are close..

Thank you! That would be great. I haven't hatched eggs since I was kid and want to handle the new ones very carefully so the closer, the better. I won't need them until the last half of April as we have vacation scheduled before that. I don't want the house sitters to have to worry about eggs. Do you still want some raspberry plants? I have LOTS.

Tomorrow is vaccine day...Marek's for all the babies.
Got needles today and will wake up early & do the deed.
I have for the last 3 days been confronted in the Ameraucana coop...with a hen who is snarling as soon as I open the door. She is still on the nest as I write.OH NO not a broody!!! Not now!!!
I guess if she keeps it up she gets the ice bath...snarling & growls like a cat!!!

Crazy!!! I grew up on 1st ave in Redondo!! I would jog north on the waterfront then up Redondo Way(I think it's called) then down Dash Point road back to 1st ave down to the water & home!I used to love jogging! I went to school at Sacajawea & Fed Way High!!

I would still jog but the ice keeps falling out of my glass!!!

I miss the boardwalk at Redondo. It was a great place to walk. I walked a couple of miles there most days.

I remember the first few months as trying to catch up all the time on little sleep and rollercoasting hormones, but maybe Heather will have it easier. With my second son, I developed Meniere's which made it just that much more difficult.

Have I mentioned on here that my DD ordered one of those Ducky Diaper Harness things for Daffy?

It is going to be a cool purple color and will have a leash to go on walks!!!

Hoping we will get it around the last week of March so DD can work with Daffy over Spring Break. I will positively post pictures and video if I can figure it out!

CL-- We will have to try more eggs again sometime! I obviously NEED more indoor ducks!!!
