Im going to go to the show tomorrow. Anyone have any idea how many birds will be there or how large it will be? The only thing I have to guage off of is the rabbit show they had there.

Unfortunately it didn't make it.

But we have had 3 more hatch since then!

Usually the ones that are late or do not make it are messed up anyway..like deformed or birth defects of some sort like a poor heart for example, so don't cry!!!

Oh, almost forgot...Boldog, you have a bantam pip...right on schedule.
We should have 26 chicks in the hatching incubator by tomorrow night !
And as soon as I get home tomorrow night I have to unload about 3 doz more eggs to put in lockdown in another hatching incubator

I will run out of pens but for the big rubbermaid tubs I have.

Where has Illia been ?
I wondered if the rabbits had bunnies or not ?

Well, hope she is OK.
I am done, washing up & packing.
Will have to stop somewhere to get some small paper plates & plastic forks....you all have to slurp an oyster, hey! It improves fertility!!!

Going to bed early, have to get up & pack the van with baby chicks & birds....goodbye !!

Is there an entry fee? I live just up the hill and could walk to it, but have never been to the poultry show... Monroe Farm and Feed is next door to the fair and that is where i get most of my stuff...

I'm looking for about a dozen cornish cross chicks. Will anyone have those at the event? How about turkey poults?

Just realized i missed the rabbit show a few weeks ago. Was looking for some new zealands or californians. Anyone here know of someone who may have some to sell?

Thanks CL, that's what my BIL said too. Just the part of life that is hard to get past at first.
BUT, the last egg just pipped so I'm hoping to have them all in the brooder before we have to take off in the morning.
So out of 10 eggs, 1= clear from the beginning
1= pip gone wrong
1=no movement at day 20
7= alive and kickin'!
Considering the eggs shipped the week the snow started in Feb., I'm happy with how my home-made bator did.
Now just have to wait on the 10 bantam eggs that are on day 14. No clue what they are but they should be tiny and fun!!!

I am bring a big salad, hard boiled eggs and 2 pounds of prawns and a quart of oysters AND dill sauce we make that is to die for..will need little paper plates & plastic ware/napkins.
I am also bringing raspberry walnut vinergret, my favorite!
DH will probably wander off after some corn dogs or cheese burgers, so I will have extra to share.
Oysters are shucked fresh today in South Bend (hear that Toni???) and I got lemons.
If ya want hot sauce on some ya gotta bring it.
My bottle of hot sauce is a half gallon, too big for the ice chest!

I always have a traffic cone in the back of my truck. And I'm bringing my truck!

Please being a soap & lotion and chap stick assortment, you can "sell out of your purse" sort of, I LOVE THE CHOCOLATE ORANGE chap stick!
SOOOOOOOOOOOO Creamy and tastes like a chocolate covered orange stick..love them!
Honestly, I have found if I have a chcolate craving this takes care of it, so it can aide in dieting, right ?

Also gives those with diabetes a chance to taste the candies too, made with good stuff!

Gotta go shower, making GF pizza, and to bed early.
MOT just pooped in his crate and stepped in it..squished all over his foot
Guess we need rooster booties....shrink wrap the feet!
I just hope he does not doo doo his butt feathers.
He looks so fluffy now!
