Not to worry all is good!!!! Trust me DON'T SWEAT THE LITTLE STUFF.

there was a guy there named Steve who had standard and bantm Aracaunas and he had black or white. i talked to him and asked him about buying some, they were not for sale and his asking price was $200 for a breeding trio. honestly i nearly had a heart attack.

Illia there were no Shamo's or asils or malays. i felt there were some breeds lacking at this show. no one had brahmas.....

In the very back there was the Toulouse goose that was giagiant!!!!

:eek: my mom and i were freaking with how big he was. i wanted him of course.... i wanted the call duckies they were

:love one of these days i will get some duck eggs of a breed that does not require water and sneak them in my future incubator.... along with some other eggs and some aracaunas.

when i was there they were still judging so i cannot say who won what. someone had neat milli bantm cochins that were DQ's but otherwise no ribbons on any cages just some isles were closed off....

It was great meeting so many of you at the show! I feel wiped out - shoulda used the chair I brought, my ankle is huge. (It has been problematic since I injures that leg a couple years ago, and my size only makes it worse.) If I sat more, I would have had the chance to meet more of you and maybe had a conversation. Too many people there for me to keep names and faces together, and none of you look like your avatars! (Name tags need avatars)

The birds were gorgeous! I was hoping to see more Araucanas - in LF, I saw only white. The salmon Favorelles were HUGE! I want that roo! He looked pretty mellow, calmly eating while all the other roos were making a rucus!

I came home with 3 OE chicks from CL, 2 Bantam Cochins from RFF, and a Light Sussex hen from her too, and a black copper marans hen from zgoatlady. Had to play musical chicke coops for a couple hours once I got home. The Sussex is really sweet - she follows me around! (Maybe she's trying to ask me when I will bring her back to Heather and the rest of her friends). She's an eater too! I put a container of food in with her,and by the time I got home, it was GONE! I thought she must have spilled it, but there was not a pellet in the box with her. When she got here, she went straight for the food too - she's a comfort eater like me. Uncomfortable and in a strange surrounding? Eat!

LOVE the bell CR made and the roo sails, and the trivet, and the yard stakes and T-Hi's duck sign .... DH loved the bell too, and now he wants to get a sawblade for above our fireplace!

i'm gonna go eat a yogurt and then get some sleep, washing and brushing my dogs tomorrow - Shasta in looking like Snuffalufagus. Got to get her cleaned up before taking her to the groomer!

Nice to meet everyone- though I will NEVER remember anyone's names. Thanks to all who brought the good munchies. Ilia, Steve's Unbeatable Cock (who is starting to tick the Ameracauna people off) was again Ch AOSB and went on to be Ch. Large Fowl. His son was Res. Ch. AOSB. My black bantam (who was bred by Steve Waters) was Res. Ch. AOCCL and my WC Black Polish was Ch. AOCCL. There was even a little watery sun! Very nice day in the Northwest. Ch of Show was Joe Mazur's cochin bantam and Reserve of Show was Heather Hay's bird- I think OEG, Ch. Waterfowl was a Sebastopol gander owned by Sheryl Butler. That's all I remember.

and good luck to linda and linda with the ducks. Please please let me know if you have questions. I talked to Cindy about hatching days and she felt that they hatch around 28 days like the Big Ducks.. so..

Humidity humidity and I really think hand turning them is important. I have heard that more than once.... otherwise, please keep in touch .. I am also hoping you don't accidentally have any of my araucana eggs in there. lol! if you get a duck that looks remarkably chick like.. welll...
