RFF: Yes, deinitely. I would love to buy them from you. You and I need to get together and talk, or email or phone....I have some questions for you regarding them. Are you going to be selling any eggs? I have been doing a lot of reading up on how to properly incubate. I have a trial run going right now...we will see what we get out. But until I have done a few trial runs with my mixed eggs, I really don't want to put out the money on quality eggs and mess them up.

Now if one of your two birds is called light..why? They were both white, one with the black "collar" and tail, the other more a silver/blue. Which one would have been considered the light? Trying to learn.

Edited : Because I probably sound really illiterate......Sorry I am asking so many questions, that to many, probably sound mundane and trivial or even basicly stupid. I knew a lot about rabbits, I followed dog shows (never showed)....I know that chickens lay eggs and have feathers and taste good BBQd - beyond that....I am starting at the very beginning and learning. Please, everyone, try to be patient with my questions.

Yes I will be selling eggs as well. The Coronation is the lavender highlighted bird and the one with black is called the "Light."

Well just sold a bunch of Ameraucana chicks to my Post Master, and he delivered my mail.
he lives not too far from Winlock, so I told him to get feed from Patriot Farms, and see Scott's website at Patriot Farms.com for phone # and directions.
His wife has Chrones, and she is having reactions every so often to store bought eggs & meats.
The suspect is hormones & preservatives & such.
That is why they are starting to raise their own eggs, and so I suggested Scott's feed as feed store feed has so many additives, anti-caking and preservatives..who knows what may be in it that will end up in the egg and set off an immunal reaction in Chrones Disease?
Update on MiL; DH reported that she made it through the night, and is still knocked out, intubated to a breathing & feeding machine, and getting kidney dialysis to day.
She is what they said was "stabilized" and we assume that means that she is not getting worse, but wonder if she is getting better ?
Guess DH is re listing our house down there with the realtor, then driving over to Santa Rosa to the hospital to sit & waite.
That is all we can do is sit & waite.
In the mean time FiL told me all his Emus are free!
Come get them!
Assorted ages, males & females and they are laying, some setting, a few chicks, one chick was stompt probably by a rival hen. The hens are bigger than the males & territorial, a nesting hen needs to be alone in a paddock, where other hens cannot get at her eggs, but Dad has been at the hospital so some babies were stompt.
That would kill his mother if she knew, she loves those babies.
Anyway, they are free, in Northern California.

Hospitals are full of all sort of creepy crawlies. You put a bunch of people that have compromised health in one area and you get all sorts of fun stuff. MRSA, Clostridium difficile, mycoplasmal pneumonias, etc. However, more and more testing is being done when people are admitted and contact precautions (full gown, mask, gloves for anyone entering room) for those who are infected.

I worked in a hospital for a while.
I had to full drape & mask a few times and go in and feed sick patients.
One time as I was doing so, the old man hurled all over me...glad I was draped !
One thing I still do not understand is the implatation of anything into the body (most especially something so deep & close to the pericardium) with NO antibiotic sent home !
In surgery, we always prescribed a profilactic antibiotic with oral surgery especially as the very staph can enter the blood stream and guess where it goes ?
Straight to the pericardium & the heart is infected.
DH has a SS plate in his foot, for 10 years now, and still, he gets a profilactic antibiotic before dental work due to possible staph infections.
Antibiotics are sometimes misused and over prescribed, but in the case of implantation, and deep invasive surgery, I think the ounce of prevention is worth many millions of pounds of cure, and in this case, possible death.
How is your classes going ?

The clinic called and they need to move my appointment. sad My appointment is still on the 30th but at 7:30am (earliest time available o the same day) in the hopes I'd be out and back to work by 8:30 (I told them I have to be back for court by 8:30am).

Hopefully, this will work for my DH...or we'll have to wait another month. sad I e-mailed him about 1/2 hour ago and no response. sad

I guess they only have two ultrasound techs and they are both booked solid and one had some sort of emergency so she's gone until Friday so this other lady who is only "part-time" is only doing morning appointments in this other tech's absence (the other one only works in the afternoon). They said this appointment is a minimum 45 minute exam.

No ultrasound techs at your hospital ?
Most have full radiolgic amenities...maybe the hospital won't examine you unless you are sick...

Hope it all works out...
I have to look at your necklaces, I like greens...so will look at them.

How about various mid & dark greens, with black chickens..2 chickens on each side & one pendant ?
(Black Javas !

)
My necklaces that fit so good are 18"

Tell me if that will work~

Yeah--there is a pretty small hospital and clinic....I emailed my boss and that's fine...she already informed my co-worker she'll need to cover for me until I'm back. The judge doesn't take the bench until 9am so if I'm back before then--which I should be, it will be at all good!

I think so....I will have to dig around and see if I have any green beads left...not a real popular color...I know I have some brighter greens but I don't think I have any darks...but I'll check...

So you're wanting three chickens on there? Two on each side and one in the middle?

Normally, I do a chicken as the pendant in the middle. I could then do a couple accent chickens on the sides?

These are the colors I have in the chickens....
