I will have one new Genesis 1588 to sell if my new bator works.

Cool....I was going to if you didn't. But I think I'll stick to something smaller for now...I don't need to hatch 250+ eggs at once!

I think I'm getting this:

I emailed the dude who makes them and he's going to give me a sweet deal...and it will help keep my hatching under control as it will hold 82 eggs with the hatching tray on the bottom! LOL Although for not much more $$, I can upgrade to one that will hold another turner...for a total of 123 eggs...oh where does it stop?

you guys on the west side of the mountains have the ease of the mobile processing units to rent which is ~$30 + $75 permit.

i do not have such on my side but i found out that there is an exemption permit i can apply for if processing under 1000 a year (

i would be disowned if i put my new bator to that much use....)

but i thought i would post the links for the exemption that i was given and was wondering that in a what if scenario, for the cost of a setup (of if someone also participated in a freezer camp day) if i could sell enough meat birds to make up for it? my intent would be to presell and process at the orchard to sell from the fruitstand (for pick up within the time frame)

with this permit you only have 48 hours for the consumer to come an pick up the whole slaughtered birds.

i think i will wait till next year to work out this option. this year i can experimentally raise some meat birds ("hybrid" mutts from my flock) to sell to the community here for their own processing (the only loophole)

but i was thinking maybe there should be a BYC member mobile processing unit. because the ones you guys have only serve your counties and there are none on this side.

Do you (did you) ever get a rash with flares ?
I have the demetitus herpetiformis that pops up on my right elbow, and seldom the left, and never has popped up on either knee, happens usually 3 or more days after the attack...and I was wondering if any other intestinal disease ever causes dermetitus herpetiformis.
Sometimes I rash all over, but symetrically, such as a ring around my head where a hat band would be: across the forhead & over the ears all the way around. Weird.
I cannot take sulpha drugs, but was wondering about this new drug Remicade, ever here of it ?
I am not sure but it supposed to lower the inflammation that can result...so do not know if it is classified as an NSAID or if it is a steroid.
