Add a fan.. I have one that I need to add a fan to but not sure how to do it.
Go to radio shack, buy a computer fan, and get 4 wine corks, cut to 1/2 "..drill holes in them as legs, with long thin bolts & nuts, attach the fan in the fan spot..then connect to a voltage reducer thingy (a box on the end of the cord that plugs in the wall.
Ask the radio shack guy for the reducer thingy needed for the exact voltage the fan uses..I will take photos of mine, when I can outside as it is in storage.
The bolts go through the 4 corners of the fan, through a cork 'foot' and up through the top of the incubator, washer & bolt on the top (outside) so the cork 'foot' provides a space where air can get in to the top of the fan, and blow down, make sure it is blowing down, not up.
So the fan, with the cork feets, look like a table, get it?
A fan cannot be mounted against the incubator celing as it cannot get any air that way.
You can also use 4 slices of wooden towel for feet, drill holes for the bolts to go through.
The computer fan fits the exact spot in a little giant, where the little giant fan fits, and cost is way way less than buying a little giant fan.
thanks Cl make's since, but the fan should blow away from the eggs as to not dry them out. Thats what Ive always heard..
